A good actor who never got his due, and who died far too young during the height of the AIDS crisis.

Most of his carrer was on stage, but he did have a small role in the 1980 Al Pacino film Cruising, and was one of the stars of the 1970 film The Boys in the Band, in whih he reprised his stage role.
