Would like to have Adrian Paul record a special Christmas video just for you? Or a birthday greeting? Or tips on how to properly handle a sword? Guess what? He can be yours, so to speak, for $99.00. Don't everyone sign up at once!

Such a coincidence - I have been watching the "Highlander" series on DVD, which I purchased last summer through amazon. A well-done collector's DVD set from a Canadian distributor.

Although I'm fast-forwarding through some of the episodes, every now and then there is one that is truly good (I'm on the second season). Reminds me of another series from distant memory which also was somewhat uneven, but had many truly good moments and episodes, "Beauty and the Beast" (the one that takes place underground in NYC). I would have to say that "Beauty and the Beast" is closer to my makeup with its highlighting of classic music and literature throughout. But I especially like the Highlander episodes filmed in Paris, and what originally caught my interest back in the 1990s when it originally aired were the historical flashbacks - reminded me of DS at the time. Interesting that Adrian Paul then played in the 1991 DS series in the 1795 sequence, if I remember correctly.

Adrian Paul sure had (has) it all - a decent actor, martial arts skills, great looking, apparently speaks fluent French and Italian, and, I've heard, is a good guy in real life (hope that's so, anyway!)

MB, love the Christmas theme this year!
