Roger's Quote in Today's Montage

When Roger is saying about being a "bright, attractive girl," who is is speaking to?  I'm assuming it must be Vicki or Carolyn, but can't place which it would be.

To Vicki.  He feels she's foolish for believing she can help his son and could do better working elsewhere. It wasn't long after she arrived.
