After 38 years and 165 issues, Filmfax Magazine has ceased publication. The magazine covered offbeat cinema, television, comics and other assorted media. They also ran several DS related articles and interviews. The 21st century has been rough for print magazines and especially for specialized ones. It's an too familiar story. Dwindling circulation. Increased printing costs. Decreasing ad revenue. Less and less stores stocking magazines. I usually enjoyed reading Filmfax and I will certainly miss it's presence at Barnes and Noble. But I doubt that this will be the last magazine that we'll be saying goodbye to.
