Interesting that they are or she is offering only one photo when last time around there were well over a dozen photos to choose from that spanned much of her career. Though I suppose it's not too much of a surprise that the chosen one is a publicity shot for Charlie's Angels.
One thing that's dismaying, though, is once again what might be considered a mistaken impression is given that NoDS wasn't a success at the box office. Her bio says, "In 1971, Jackson had a starring role as Tracy Collins in Night of Dark Shadows, the second feature film based on the daytime serial. This film was more loosely based on the series than the first feature film, and it did not fare as well at the box office." Sure hoDS made more money ($1,836,000 versus $1,400,000 for NoDS), but it's disingenuous at best for so many places to say things like how "House of Dark Shadows was a big success at the box office" but things with regard to NoDS like "upon release, the film was not a hit" (which is something I also came across just yesterday) when that's clearly not the case and it's not like NoDS made only a mere fraction of what hoDS did. Though the real problem, and one not just in NoDS' case, is that one site/article will put forward some sort of misinformation about something and then a dozen other sites/articles will use them as a source and repeat the misinformation. (And of course, it also doesn't help that as part of the 25th Anniversary compilation John Karlen probably unintentionally gave the mistaken impression that a third DS film wasn't made because NoDS may not have been a success when that isn't the reason at all. MGM did indeed want to do a third, but after the whole debacle with MGM forcing him to cut NoDS, DC didn't want to, and who could blame him. To his credit, Karlen did also say that he didn't know if that was the reason, but just by saying what he did, the damage was already done, particularly when it comes to anyone who might use that compilation as a source.)
