Burke’s storms Collinwood and demands the shocked Roger and Kitten produce Elizabeth. He has come for Collinwood. Cards are on the table and no show of hearts on Burke’s part. Roger and Burke argue over five years of a stolen life. Vickie descends into the battle. Elizabeth refuses to sell and Roger is all for the sale. He reveals that he knows Elizabeth’s marriage was less than perfect. Burke reveals he wants it all. The house and the business.
Carolyn tries to get Burke to redeem himself, but he tells her she was ready and willing to give herself to him.
Elizabeth is ready to fight and Vickie stands alone outside the fray.

This entire episode is a literal example of a "drawing room drama."
It's interesting to see how Roger's attitude towards Collinwood, and indeed what it means to BE a Collins, evolves over time. Here he's ready to throw the old "white elephant" away for some bloody lucre, but by the time Barnabas arrives on the scene and, indeed, in all the time thereafter, Roger is a full-on snob about both the place and the family name.
