There's a lawyer whom I do a lot of typing for, and a first name that's come up a lot recently in something he's working on is "Geosette." With so many words starting "geo," in my mind I had always pronounced it as gee-oh-sette, which seemed a strange name. Tonight it suddenly dawned on me that the "e" is presumably just to show that the "g" is pronounced like a "j" and therefore, the name is Josette!!!
It just seemed so weird, with the other spelling I never thought of it, and all of a sudden I see that this person was Josette!
