I think they probably changed the way the 4 disks sit in the case to save money as now they only have to put ONE sleeve-like thing in there since disks 1 & 4 are secured on the front & back covers respectively.  Can't imagine there's any other reason.  I too am glad the box LOOKS the same and is slim like the others.  I HATE it when company's releasing multiple volumes of things change the damn packaging!  Warner Brothers did this w/the Harry Potter films.  1 & 2 are in nice cardboard, fold-out boxes, then 3 & 4 are in regular PLASTIC boxes!  It infuriates me!  Don't they realize that anal ppl like me are COLLECTING these things and want uniformity!?

Okay, I've vented enough, LOL!     The first 10 boxes were those clunky things that kept falling apart.  I got MPI to replace all 10 and I just cut the artwork to fit the new boxes.  You can't even tell the difference!  Now, I AM worried about what they'll do w/the pre-Barnabas eps!  I hope they keep the same slim box design and the same basic artwork design unlike what they did w/the VHS tapes.  They totally changed those boxes!  Why, I do not know.  Maybe we should start a nice, RESPECTFUL petition that they keep the same box/artwork design for the pre-Barn eps the same as the ones currantly out!?

I called them, told them all 10 cases broke and they replaced them, simple as that.  Obviously other ppl had problems w/them breaking too and that's why they changed the design to something more durable.  That's what I like about MPI, they f'ing stand behind their products!  

How exactly did you cut the covers down to fit?

I'd like to switch mine (a couple of mine break apart at the spine very easily, I had one that wouldn't close), but I'm such a perfectionist that I wouldn't want to mess up the covers.

Just get a paper cutter and carefully cut it down until it fits, being careful not to cut anything important (like the title etc...).  Believe me, you CAN cut it down to fit and NOT screw up the artwork. 

When i started this post... i was not complaining about the size of the case. I love the skinny cases. Iam complaining about the inside.

Hey, I just wanted everyone to know that I called MPI and they are telling me that I need to pay $3.00 each for the new replacement cases (even though I told them mine are defective - PLUS I have to pay shipping...)  BuzzH is that what you paid for your replacement boxes, or did they send them to you for free?  Please let us know!!!
