Le Bat Bar (I think)
« on: March 31, 2005, 12:52:27 AM »
During DS's orig. run, wasn't there some bar called Le Bat Bar where fans went (and were occassionally met by some of the actors)?

I vaguely remember something from someone's site when it was/did close how fans went to get their own memorabilia.

Did anyone from here ever go? Ever drink a hot toddy with Louis Edmond?? Sip claret cups with J. Frid?
Chug a few brewskies with  :-* Grayson?

Thanks,

Patti

Patti,

Le Bar Bat was actually the spund studio where Robert Cobert recorded alot the Dark Shadows sound track.   I am not exactly sure how many years this building was a recording studio but in the mid 90's it became Le Bar Bat. Several NYC DS festival events/dinners were held there . It's kind of ironic that the studio where the DS music was recorded became a gothic restaurant/bar.

For the most part , I think, the actors used to hang out at the Brittney Du Souir after work.  It was in existance through the 80's. Not too far from the studio itself.

Brittany du Soir was just up the street (at the corner I think).  It was a rather cool place with good food.  People from other studios on the west side used to hang out there as well.
