Typically weird DS logic. The head of Judah Zachary has supposedly been destroyed. But they have to find it to prove that it doesn't exist. Worse odds than finding a needle in that haystack.
Desmond's arrest brings him and Leticia closer. Warm, sweet moments, well played by John Karlen and Nancy Barrett. And is Flora finally beginning to realize that Gerard is not quite what he seems.
The detente between Julia and Valerie is not quite as convincing here as it was in 1897. Valerie's transition from heartless predator not that many episodes ago to noble wife is not handled well. Valerie wastes her time trying to seduce Gerard into revealing where Barnabas. Even if she succeeded, he doesn't know for sure where Barnabas might be. The old Angelique would have gotten the information out of Trask with a scarf and a voodoo doll, which would have been much more satisfying to watch.
Julia and Leticia search Quentin's lab for...well, I'm not sure. Leticia seems enthralled by the staircase through time and hears someone calling to her. She would have gone up the stairs if Julia hadn't stopped her. Who was calling her? 1970 Gerard? Carolyn Stoddard? Dan Curtis? Tomorrow's surprise guest?
Leticia freaks out so Julia is left alone when footsteps become louder and the door at the top opens. Who's coming? And should she have baked a cake?
