Oops!  I made a mistake last time!  I said it would be Episodes 93-97, but it was ONLY up to Episode 96.  This "Copy and Paste" business is making me batty! LOL!  :-[

Episode #97 -   Well, Roger and Liz both claimed there was NO resemblance between Vicki and the portrait of Betty Hanscomb. :-X Oops!  Carolyn gave it away! :o It was sweet of Sam to give Vicki the portrait.

Episode #98 -  This was the first day and scary night in Collinwood for Mrs. Johnson. :o But she was looking for trouble - prowling around the basement in the dark.  David caught on to her right away - but didn't seem to care that she was Burke's spy.  Matthew was WAAY too protective and threatening, and didn't like Mrs. Johnson's snooping.   I wonder who the sobbing ghost is in that locked room?  As I recall, Vicki was initiated also, the first night she stayed there.  This is becoming a pattern! LOL! ;D

Episode #99 -  A fashion note:  Carolyn was wearing PANTS!!   LOL!!  ::) --- With her snooping, Mrs. Johnson helped Burke to understand what happened with Vicki in Bangor - it was the pen.  Burke didn't seem to believe that Collinwood was haunted - blaming it on the ductwork. ---  Carolyn inadvertently told Vicki that ROGER lost "the pen"!  :o --- Liz sure got tremendous loyalty from the cannery workers - not a one was willing to take Burke's offer!

Episode #100 -  The 100th episode!  ;D This was a milestone for DS.  Nancy Barrett even held the slate! --- Vicki put her trust in Burke during this episode.  It sure seemed like her life was in danger because she knew that Roger was the one who lost the pen.  Burke didn't think that Roger would find out - but in true soap opera fashion, someone inadvertently told him.  (Carolyn again.) :-X

It's fun reading these!  I only had a chance to see these early episodes the one time - the last time through on SciFi, so while I remember the plotlines generally, I've certainly forgotten lots of details.  Some of the things you mention I definitely recall and others I'm quite vague about.

I remember there was such a big mystery and suspense with the pen.  And I definitely remember all the Collins workers standing fast against Burke.
