As was announced at the DS Fest, we're hoping to re-record David Selby, Kate Jackson and James Storm's missing dialogue in the next month or two.
But, there's a problem...
We don't have these actor's original NODS scripts or 'sides.' While this would appear to be easily remedied, as we do have the original scripts of Dan Curtis, Grayson Hall, Diana Millay, Nancy Barrett, Lara Parker and Monica Rich...it isn't for the simple reason that several scenes had on-set rewrites at the last minute that expanded a couple of scenes, added a few other short bits, and modified the dialogue so that it does not match the scripts that we currently have.
I hired a lip reader who helped interpret a few different line readings and solve a few mysteries, there are still several scenes where an actors mouth is not completely visible or is responding to someone off-screen...
We've talked to Sam Hall and shown him the scenes, but he can't remember (this was 30 years ago, after all), so I'm hoping and praying that someone has these scripts and will contact me to let me know what some of this altered dialogue is...If you have any of them, email me and I'll let you know the scenes and pages we need the corrections on, so you would't even have to let us borrow the script.
I'm fairly confident we can come up with alternates that more or less match, but I'd prefer a restoration that perfectly adheres to the original dialogue...
