Just a Flesh Wound

Portsmouth! I go there all the time! It's 15 minutes from my house. Hahaha! Point of reference.

But man, I have been wicked impressed with Jonathan Frid's acting lately.

Another observation, I love Angelique. She is in fact my favorite character, but something about her in 1795 is driving me freaking *bonkers*. Maybe due to the fact that I've only seen her interracting with vampire Barnabas, and maybe because pre-vampire Barnabas has this character to him that I absolutely adore.

Wah! Barnabas was attacked by a muppet. At least for this it wasn't blue-screened over. I don't know how the hell anybody could get through a scene without collapsing into laughter half the time. More credit to the actors!

Considering how back in the day bullets were little more than huge lead balls that flattened out when they hit your body leaving a huge gaping hole, Angelique is doing pretty well with that wound.

And considering what the same assault did to Bandageman, Angie basically went 'Ouch!' ::), and stood there!

Nee.

You  have to remember that this woman is a witch with enormous powers so a little ole iron ball isn't going to do much. She even mentioned that she'd take care of the wound and in the next scene, she has a new dress on and is none the worse for wear.  She didn't even have her arm in a sling! At least, that would've made everyone sympathize with her. You know: "Husband goes nuts! Shoots wife to be with lover but is attacked by rabid bat. Screams lover's name on deathbed!"
