I've bought most of my DS DVDs through Deep Discount, as well as a number of other DVDs. All my experiences have been excellent.

I have found, however, that it pays to do your shopping around because every so often another place has a better deal.

Glad to get the recommendation!  I hadn't heard of this place, and I see they feature both Ingmar Bergman and Dick Van Dyke on their main page, so that's saying something!  ;D  I may just have to spring for the restored version (from Image Entertainment, though that's not shown) of the Bondarchuk version of War and Peace (or "War & Peace", as it's found on this site). ...  :)

I think I'll have to wait a few years for DS, though, now that I spent years taping the whole thing ...

Shopping around is very important, indeed.  I know DDD may not have everything I'm looking for so I also look at Costco, BestBuy, or local shops.

I buy a lot of DVDs online, and I'd say I get more than half of them from Deep Discount DVD. But every once in a while I'll find something I'm looking for is cheaper on some other site - or even in an actual store, as shocking as that may seem!  [lghy]  When Best Buy is having a sale, they can have some great deals, like DVDs for as little as $12.99 or even $9.99. A few months ago I bought "Phone Booth" (normally $20.99) and "28 Days Later" (normally $14.99) for $12.99 and "Go" (normally $12.99) for only $9.99. I've also been able to get some of the Buffy DVD sets (normally $49.99) for only $32.99. And tonight I snatched up the Director's Cut DVD of "Dune" (featuring Alec Newman) because it was on sale for $11.99 (and it's normally $14.99).

I, too, buy most of my DVDs from Deep Discount DVD and have always been really pleased with their service. I've sometimes gotten pre-orders on the day before the actual release date, which has never happened when I've ordered from Amazon. DDD also sometimes has the DS sets priced below $40 when they're pre-orders. I really haven't been able to find a better price for these anywhere else.

I love DDD.  but ebay can have some good deals on DS dvds as well, sometimes with about the same prices including shipping if you are patient (unlike me)  :) (plus paypal is a godsend for the credit card challenged LOL)
