I'm sure all of you get junk e-mail that consists of a bunch of unrelated words, or in which the subject, at least, has a bunch of unrelated words.  So, I had one of those tonight, but I had to take a look at it to make sure it was junk and not something, perhaps from here, when I saw the first word.

The subject line of the e-mail was:

barnabas astonish nameplate eke imbecile azalea chronograph ineffectual diorite central die centennial maniacal brainwash hector

I didn't check out the link - it seemed to be something for weight loss - but that "barnabas" starting it off certainly made me do a double-take.

Actually, what a great idea to have Willie discover Barnabas in his coffin!  Sorta bringing it up into the two-thousands.  Instead of hearing a heart beat over and over again, Willie gets inundated with spam e-mails that cryptically have the name "Barnabas" appear in them.  Finally, when even the best anti-spam software no longer works and he can't take it anymore, he follows the source and - voila!  Of course, before his inevitable intrusion into the secret room in the mausoleum, he does put in a few orders for insurance, mortgage refinancing, some credit cards, Viagra, and breast enhancements.

Then, just run spyware detection on your computer.

If you have a hotmail account, you can adjust your settings to get rid of most Spam if the problem becomes worse!

(Spoken by one who recently was taken in by an ad to win a Sony computer or something.  I entered my e-mail, home address & phone, everything ... only to later discover that the offer wasn't even from Sony!  I'm bracing for the deluge ... )
