Farewell, Barnabas and Julia!
« on: December 09, 2003, 10:27:38 PM »
Now that order is finally (!) restored at Collinwood, I bid you and Professor Stokes a fond adieu.

But seriously speaking, folks, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed yesterday's finale immensely.  Quentin about to lose his pretty head, Barnabas finally admitting his love for Angelique who redeems herself in the end, and then the satisfying return to the restored Collinwood.  IMO, it doesn't get much better than this!  What a long way we have traveled yet again with Julia and our favorite vampire on that dark, shadowy and crazy road trip we call Dark Shadows.

Yes, I know that the tale continues but the principal characters have exited the stage and I can't help but feel a little misty about it all.  Although 1841 PT had its charms, somehow it isn't quite the same without Barnabas, Julia, Stokes, Angelique and the real time Collins clan.

Oh, and did anyone take a good look at that axe in the Quentin execution scene?  We have a paper cutter here that looks scarier! [laugh]
