He bears a striking resemblance to John Zacherly....but only cousins who grew up in the New York metro area (and are pushing 50) would know that.

Ahh, yes, the great Zacherly!!!  He sort of looked like the ghoulish Sheriff Davenport.  (However, Zacherly was much better looking than the late sheriff, IMHO!)

By the way, Zacherly was probably the first TV personality to make caustic remarks (and, to actually interject himself into) such classics/clinkers as "Plan 9 From Outer Space," and  "Frankenstein's Daughter," long before the creators of Mystery Science Theater came along.  (But, of course, you already knew that,  didn't you, Raineypark?)

I would have loved to have heard the great Zacherly "opine" on Dark Shadows.  Who knows, maybe he's on this web site, commenting on Dark Shadows even today!?!
