Ang, foiled by Josette's reincarnation, twice! - that must hurt. Vicki figures it out, twice! - in seconds - realistic. Maggie is getting pretty smart too. Poor Joe. Lucky Joe. Smart Joe.

I'm starting to get bored with Adam's learning segments. Stokes tells Vicki that Sam's dream was induced by the pipe tobacco - not true as I recall, am I wrong? Joe confronts Stokes about his being at Maggie's when he dropped the stickpin. Stokes makes it up as he goes. I doubt Joe buys any of it. Vicki leaves unaided by Stokes. Joe returns to Stokes (with Sam's rifle) to expose Adam's residence. Adam runs, Stokes (sort of) shouts "Haskell, Don't!", Joe shoots. Cut. Print.

Fabulous sofa in Stokes place. I didn't notice any egregious mishaps. The acting was sound, the writing okay, the youngins looked good. Though a lot of important, exciting & interesting things happened, it passed as a pretty bland episode. Maybe I am just Sunday mellow.

Interesting that Adam wants to kick Willie's ass for hurting him but wants to kill Barnabas for the same. I know Barn's betrayal must hurt more (physically & emotionally) and that's what's sending Adam over the edge. I feel like the show is trying to make it seem that the supernatural connection between them is the cause because that connection has to be established to someone other than us. Perhaps my knowing so is making me misinterpret the intention of the writers. It seemed like Stokes was on the verge, but Adam ran out and I am guessing is shot (again). I'm surprised that David hasn't heard Lang's message, he's had the tape for quite a while now. It kinda feels like the show is free falling at times. My Sunday mellow is becoming Sunday curious.

Maggie sees the ghost offscreen and smart Vickie is back. Vickie decides to ask the new go to guy Pr. stokes for advice.  Joe tags along. It reminds me of the pre Barnabas days. Joe is suspicious and figures Adam is at Stokes and decides to be Annie Oakley for the day with Adam as the target.

The peripatetic multicolor afghan has migrated to the Evans cottage, so that Joe can use it when he bunks out on the couch.

Vicki foils Cassangelique yet again. It's nice to see smart Vicki again, but how long will it last? Stokes is irritated that she goes to him for help after he warned her to leave town. Meanwhile, Joe spots the teaching equipment and figures out who Stokes's unseen houseguest is.

At Stokes's house, poor Adam weeps at the memory of Barnabas's betrayal. Joe returns with his shotgun, and the two run out of the house. Haskell, _don’t_! Stokes shouts after Joe. But despite Stokes's shouts of protest, we hear a single gunshot....

Obviously, Vickie has not gained any smarts when it comes to Jeff.  She should run like the wind away from that disaster, but then I am biased. someone must have liked him back in the day.
