When Julia returns from the basement with the syringe for Barnabas's injection, she is lulled into a false sense of security by his assurance that he trusts her. I'm so glad, she says with what is actually a very sweet smile. But as Willie helps Barnabas off with his coat, we can see that he (W.) knows better.

I love Sarah's little red slippers--an adorable touch by the costumer!

Julia thinks she can trust Barnabas. She smiles and has a softer tone in her voice. Willie later sneaks of to warn the dissolutioned doctor that Maggie must die.  Then Maggie hears the dogs howl.

Love, love, love the image of the erie and evil Barnabas in the Old House window. I cannot get enough of it.

Frid looks a bit different in this episode but it might be my watching on a different VCR and TV. Willie's sense of urgency and panic is annoying me for some reason. And Frid's acting is not up to par in the first two scenes.  And I agree with AD, that Julia's upbeat attitude and her trust of Barn's word is asking a bit much of us to swallow. (My words)

David Ford's performance get the thumbs down. KLS is holding her own (as per usual, though not so much in her scene with Sharon Smyth). I am thinking about the wise cracking waitress wearing a quilted flower print robe and giggling to myself. I bet that Maggie wore baby doll pajamas.

Sarah's cranky and not afraid to show it (the little snot, doesn't she know she's all ready on my shit list). Very, very interesting that Sarah sez that she felt that Maggie wanted her to come to her. This harkens back to Lydia's take on Sarah's existence, that Maggie willed her into/onto the present-day plane. I wonder what is so important about Maggie possessing that doll. I wonder if this is one of those unsolved DS mysteries?

Favorite line this episode: "Willie! Did you just throw pebbles at my window?"

I wonder if this is a Sedwick episode, I am not liking the acting - at all; even Karlen is off his game.

Not much else to say. This episode is very unimpressive. A Lela Swift ep., how disappointing.

Yes, how very uncharacteristic of Julia to believe that Barnabas wasn't going to harm Maggie no matter how many assurances she gave him that Maggie's memory was gone for good or how convincing he may sound that he wouldn't do anything. Or maybe she just wants to see what she wants to see and that is she has finally won Barnabas' trust. Sadly that is not the case.

Willie informs Julia of Barnabas' lie to her and his plans to kill Maggie...Julia seems disappointed to learn she really doesn't have Barnabas' trust in her abilities after all. But she puts her mind back on focus on the problem at hand and that is how to prevent Maggie's murder at the hands of Barnabas.

Sarah appears to Maggie for the first time since she left in a huff, taking her doll with her, hurt that Maggie had forgotten her. I still can't help but think that maybe Sarah somehow senses that Maggie's failure to remember her wasn't Maggie's fault or otherwise she wouldn't have shown up again in her room. Maggie goes to the door and calls for her father but Sarah is gone when he comes. Yes, Maggie has a good point...if a child can somehow get to her room without being seen by the cops outside then perhaps a certain someone else can too....and she's more right than she knows too. Maggie has good reason to be scared.

Barnabas says a silent farewell at the window as he prepares to go out to murder her....
