Fashion notes: Liz looked great in that red robe and red lipstick; and the paisley print, too; Carolyn should always wear that blue sleeveless thingy [I've heard of Bette Davis eyes, but Ally Mcbean arms?] and as I have said before TLATKLS in that velour [sp?] blue top reminds me of one of my very favorite tactile senations - the inside of a guitar case - ooooohhh! - but lose the poppin' fresh skirt [let me think about that for a while...]
Production notes: In Dr Woodard's office, Patterson III sure likes to blow the blocking - could he step between the speaker and camera one more time?
Missed plot twist: When Burke was on the phone talking about his trip to Brazil, if the writers for 'Dallas' had been around, he would have been talking to his old detective about how he finally had Vickie entirely duped and the Collins family exactly where he wanted them, and his plan to destroy them about to be completed. Barn, another scholar of the Academy of Eavesdropping, overhears this and tries to convince Vickie of the facts, then has to fly along side the plane, and ala T Zone, causes Burke to freak out, and then he caused the plane to crash himself! [I have always thought Burke abandoned the 'destroy all Collins' routine a bit too easily]
Henry Peck, where are you moments: Collinwood, Collinwood, how do I love thee; Let me count the rooms: Isn't this the first time we have seen Carolyn's bedroom, and the first time we have seen Julia's la-BONG-atory? [and didn't Frid pick up a piece of dry ice with his bare hand?] come back Auntie Foundling!!!
The part of Liz Stoddard would have been played Tue. [or Wed?] by ANN-MARGARET - 'Bye, Bye Burkie', 'Viva Las South America Airlines', and 'Kitten with A Whip' [a gift for Carolyn] [if any members of TLATKLS appreciation society haven't seen 'KwaW' - here is yer homework assignment - find it this weekend!!]
Classic 1967 [or is it 1966?] moment: 'I don't need protection' [how lucky we were!!] Then Carolyn gets out her 8-Ball pregnancy test, and sez 'Send the little monster AWAY'
'What's My Line?' moment: Dr. Hoffman is salaried, and deals in a service. Bennett Cerf, we'll start the questioning with you. BC: 'Would people come to you for your service?' Julia: 'possibly' [John Charles Daly interupts:] If you were the type of person to have particular needs for Dr. Hoffman's service, and the conditons were right, say in the middle of the night, you might come to her for her service, but not likely, Bennett, so I'll have to give you a 'No', - to you Miss Kilgallen. Dorothy K: 'John, I have to disqualify myself, since I have been using Dr. Hoffman's service since the Kennedy thing.' JCD: 'i'm gonna flip all the cards over'...
