Bob the Bartender, who wonders if Sam's good buddy, Bob Rooney, slipped a fifth of Johnnie Walker Black into Sam's coffin before they closed it shut.

Seems a macabre question, I know....but people put all KINDS of things in with departing loved ones.....what would you want in yours?

Me?....I'd want the remote to the TV...wouldn't THAT be the last laugh on my husband!? [lghy]
....oh, and a lock of my baby's hair.

Ummm, not much! Want to be cremated and don't really care about "taking something with me". Don't like to see lots of money spent on non-essentials at a funeral either. Flowers are fine, they smell nice and I like flowers anyway. But hate the concept of spending thousands on a casket!

Well, I want a party when I go. Something festive with food and music so people can have something to do besides mourn for me.
I may be cremated but if not, I want all my Bruce Springsteen cd's put in there and a cell phone just in case. Now if I am cremated, I want some of my ashes spread over New Jersey, some in Charleston, SC and the rest my family can do as they please.

I going to be cremated.  I mean that's already wrote down.  But my urn, it has to be unique.  Something from Bruce Springsteen lyrics, a list of my fav t.v. shows, (of course DS is on there, a list of my fav books, my list of fav foods, and my fav people.

I would like to be buried with my favorite blanket draped over me. It is luxurious king size, with a red and black pattern on both sides, of a oriental tea house, garden, and mountains. Someone put it over me 5 and a half years ago, after my family and I were in a near fatal car accident. We went off the highway at a speed of 70 MPH, rolled over 4 times, and I was ejected from the car. While lying unconscious with broken bones, and bleeding internally, somebody placed the blanket on me until a helicopter with paramedics arrived, and I ended up with it. I love it, it's so cozy.  :)

It just occurred to me how amusing it would be to have my coffin wrapped in chains during my funeral, with a great big, over-sized padlock just like the one on Barnabas' coffin. That would certainly amuse the mourners, which would be my desired affect.

I don't want much to go with me.  I am going to be cremated and have my ashes spread out over the water.  Maybe take a heart locket with me that my loving husband gave me on our 1st wedding anniversary.  Most of my material posistions will be going to my son to do with what he wishes.

Curious choice of words! :D

[my band's website!~  I am the one in the goofy purple hat - is anyone surprized? ::)]

It takes a real man to wear purple!---- Prince, Barney the Dinosaur, and me! ;)

And some of our gigs do seem like funerals! :o

Thanks for the shameless plug! :-*

For me, it'll hafta be my massive collection of nautical collectibles stuff.  And then my DS collectibles:  my Marilyn Ross novels, the comic books, the DS soundtrack album, the DS game (sans fangs).  It took me too long to amass that stuff, so I intend to take it with me.

My wife and I are already buying our plots (grave), they're almost paid for. That way no one pays to much for it. I have asked to have "When I Am Dead" played. I told my wife I want to be buried in my tux with my copy that she made, and my wolf head cane. I've been tell her that once our plots are paid for that I'm going to buy a casket, put chains around it and keep it in my den. Then to bury me in it, with the chain, when the time is right.

She's says no about keeping the casket in the den and putting chains on it, now or later.

Whenever I go to make a payment on our plots I tell her that "I have some grave business to take care of." [ghost_smiley]
