Hmm... I've never seen the WB DS pilot, but these images just do
not
say "Dark Shadows" to me!

Seen out of context, perhaps not. But in the context of the pilot CCE's work is quite effective.
(And I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see something very similar in the Depp/DS film. In fact, I'd be surprised if we don't.)
