I can't figure that out, either.  Didn't he say he'd cross centuries to find Vicki?  And when he does, what does he do?  Sheesh!  If Eve/Danielle Roget wants a guy like that, she may be the most evil woman who ever lived, but also the dumbest.

This always drives me crazy!!!  Eve even shows him the letter in which he explains that he can't escape to be with her, but would prefer to die, as that way perhaps he can find Vicki.  He loves her that much.

So, he's found his Vicki, he still loves her as Jeff Clark, but if he might be Peter Bradford then he can't marry her.  As crazy as the whole Jeff-Peter business was from the start, this turn is totally idiotic.

That's exactly what I was thinking, kuanyin!  After all, Vicky was the woman he loved back in 1795, too, so what difference does it make?  It would seem that Jeff doesn't look or feel like a dead person - although I know some of you here might disagree with me there.  

The guy IS a complete idiot!  And that hair touching is totally out of control.  Maybe Jeff stores what little brain he has in his hair follicles?  He has to touch them to get those grey cells going and even then- Sheeesh!  

To add a bit to my comment yesterday, now that the next bit has been shown, what really infuriates me is JEFF!!!  So, let's say he's right and he is some sort of weird creature and not really alive.  Is going to New York going to change that?  He now has proof that he loved Vicki so much that he somehow transcended the grave and time and managed to find her again.  So, of course, having been successful at that, he now must leave her!!!!

OK, I completely disagree with his behavior, but I think his reasoning is that when Vickie went to the past, she suddenly came back to the future, without warning.  He thinks that suddenly he'll be thrown back into the past suddenly and without warning.  Maybe.
