So now Barnabas admits to Julia he does indeed believe Grant Douglas is Quentin when a couple of episodes ago, he was doing his best to convince her and Chris that he wasn't. Now that I think of it, I believe he just didn't want Chris to believe it was Quentin.
I too loved the cold brush-off Julia gave Barnabas. It is fun to see them sparring again, yet at the same time, it's sad to see their friendship disintergrating. Conflict for me, because I always preferred them as friends, even though I did enjoy their chilly relationship at the beginning.
To say that Barnabas has quite an effect on Paul...talk about understatement here.
We never saw Carolyn come face-to-face with Quentin's ghost, so it makes sense she wouldn't have recognized him.
Even though he's still strongly dedicated to the Leviathan cause at this point, I think a part of Barnabas was looking for an excuse NOT to strangle Quentin. As long as Quentin didn't interfere with his plans, I don't think Barnabas would be looking for a second chance to get him. But then, who can really tell at this point...
