Did you post the correct link? I didn't see anything about Jim Storm or his character being killed off. I'm not familiar with that soap, maybe I am missing something?

Too bad/no photo. Jim's cute - at least he was the last time I saw him at the Vegas fest.

Maybe this is the link he meant to post.  It mentions the death of Storm's character, Bill Spencer Sr., which apparently occurred offscreen--

I didn't know that James Storm had a recurring role on a soap in recent years. I remember seeing him in a couple of scenes in in a soap about eight years ago, I'd guess. He was a business executive at a desk. I thought that was just a guest role. I would have watched for him in recent years had I known. I've just finished watching the 1840 storyline for the third (fourth?) time, and his acting stands up as well as ever. A much stronger performer, in my opinion, than his co-star Kate Jackson was at that time. But Storm may have already been more experienced on TV, so that may not be a fair comparison.

Sorta related to this, the death of Alan Spaulding occurred during this final week of CBS' The Guiding Light.  DS fans may recall that the role was originated by Christopher Bernau, and the character was also briefly played by '91 series alum Wayne Tippit.
