Haven't heard it yet. Had to pre-tape it on Monday, as my work schedule conflicted with the live broadcast time.
Yeah, apparently they have a downloadable version of the week's previous show available for listening. I don't think it's up yet, but it should be soon. It will only be available for a week though, and will be replaced by next week's.
As for a petition, I find they're incredibly ineffective when it comes to video labels, and especially Warner. The 2000 or so names I could get at a convention would mean nothing to them. The studio is well aware that the fans are interested in it, they don't think that a mainstream buying public is interested in the title to cause enough sales for them to think it's worthwhile. It's especially worse these days because online petitions have become ubiquitous and their value incredibly reduced.
The closest we've come is recommending that people request for TCM to broadcast the restored version. The idea here is to create awareness of the existence of this version, and show that there is a TV audience for it. Unlike the video division, the TCM division specifically ask for viewer requests and suggestions which get filtered through the right people.
