I couldn't believe it when the closing credits started for this episode. It seemed only about ten minutes long.
Reality seemed suspended today. Maybe it was Angelique's apparent return from the dead that did it. When Josette's neck started streaming blood, it didn't make any sense, because I don't believe that there was a mystical union between Barnabas and Josette; I just believe that they were in love and would have made a good, solid marriage. But the blood didn't have to make sense. And when Barnabas in his fever insisted that he had to go to Josette, it seemed to me that if he made it to Josette, he would be cured and everything would be all right. And I don't think that was correct - but that was the feeling that was conveyed. Or maybe what made me believe it all was that every time I watch 1795, I keep hoping that it will end differently.
Anyway, for me it was a magical episode.
