Not much happening in this episode, accept for people changing their minds a lot. Carolyn changing her mind about David going away and Vicki not thrilled to be going to Boston, then the next thing, she is.

Vicki must be getting tired of Julia asking her to compare the two crystals, but she's nice enough not to tell her so. Julia needs to find a different approach to hypnotizing people. I can't remember if this is the last hypnotism scene with Vicki, but I hope so.

Now Julia is in serious trouble with Barnabas thanks to Carolyn's tattling.

Julia is to sure of herself.  She is now thinking that she can't get caught.  But she can,  she has signed her own death warrant and then Barnabas changes it to death certificate. (this is in the very same sceeen.)  I wonder if JF just messed up his lines or the writers made a mistake. Will we ever know.

I am starting to not really like nosey Carolyn, at one point she said that she know longer has any friends, during this time in the show I am not her friend.   She is so happy when she thinks that Julia is going to be killed by Barnabas. That is really strange and off kilter.

Buy the way,  we see some different things today.  The Old House is not the same.  The front Hall and Parlor was wrong. Also Barnabas needs to get someone to clean the Basement. Those cobwebs are getting really bad.  Where is Willie when  Barnabas needs him to take care of things. I don't think Julia is doing it.  Carolyn and Barnabas wouldn't think of cleaning the house.

It's amusing to see Boston portrayed as the source of every earthly delight.

Barnabas sure did strike it lucky when he bit Carolyn.  She shows none of the daytime lethargy that Willie and Maggie showed, and she is unfailingly zealous in his cause while making no demands on him whatsoever.  She reminds me a bit of Hoffman in parallel time.

Why did Julia give Vicky another hypnosis session?  She had just had proof that her previous session had worked perfectly.

I think Julia wanted to hypnotize Vicki for a third time to make sure that Vicki would rebuff Barnabas. The three steps totally make sense. The first time, Vicky saw Barnabas in his coffin; the second time, Julia told Vicki that Barnabas wants to turn her into Josette; the third time, Vicki saw the second coffin which Barnabas plans to use for her.

Carolyn was very sly when she followed Julia and Vicki and listened at the door. Of course, Carolyn then told Barnabas what she saw. This is the first time Barnbas used a female victim to spy for him.

I think that maybe Carolyn isn't tired during the day because she and Barnabas are both Collinses. The effects of the bite are not as severe on Carolyn;  it just makes her his servent.
