DS Fan Event in August Poll

My bet is on The Pen.

I don't mean to not get the Joke, the Pen. A writer???

The Pen refers to the pen that plays such a central role in the Bill Malloy's mysterious death storyline:

And I have to say that for me an appearance by THE Pen would be quite interesting.    And I'm very glad to see that it's leading in the poll.    Though, sadly, more than likely the "special guest" is a person. And as far as DS actors go, the most exciting would be to see someone like Henesy, Isles, or Kate Jackson - someone who's never been to a Fest. Almost anyone else will be a big and a huge .

Well, considering how far ahead THE Pen appears to be pulling (currently more than three times as many votes as second place - and twice the votes of all the other choices combined), it would certainly seem as if no mere mortal can hope to compete.

True, and, as you have noted elsewhere, we have a couple of years yet before the 40th anniversary of Amanda Harris. 

I'm going with the Pen too.  In fact, I think we should campaign for it with T-Shirts and buttons.
