Thanks Midnite, ProfStokes, Cassandra, Luciaphil, Bobubas, Maria, Rainey, Teresa, onyx_treasure, Anne, Ben, Scout75, Minja, Ringo, Julianka, Birdie, jennifer, Josette, Connie, Terry, Sarah, Mark, victoriawinters, and Robin for wishing me a happy birthday. It meant a lot and was much appreciated. As were the well wishes and compliments. They made for a very happy birthday.

Yes, Connie, I am a Capricorn (which explains a lot to the people who know me and are into astrology - lol). I am now 45 - you HAD to ask, didn't you! ;)

Ben, it was great meeting you in Anaheim. I really enjoyed the time we spent together in your room (did you hear the gasps? ;)) talking about our childhood memories of Dark Shadows. How many times DID we say good-bye? LOL.

Birdie! Was it beer or wine? Thanks for the toast. Hope you enjoyed the movie. I am still hoping to see MY Big Fat Greek Wedding - I hear it is hysterical.

Again, thanks one and all for helping to make my birthday one of my best ever.

I've been hearing that for years.
(Gee....and what an attractive guy, huh!)  LOL

Me too, Connie. If nothing else, maybe it will take the wind out of a few Neo Nazi sails - but I doubt it.

Jay Leno joked about it last night. He said (among other things) no gay man would ever possess such a weird mustache and bad haircut.

I don't think gays need anymore wackos among our ranks.  ;)

Hold on to your hat, Brian. A new book is due out making the case that Hitler was homosexual.

Birdie, my kids are 27 & 25. The only time I feel my age is when I visit them.

Forget the creams and dyes and portrait! I use magic mirrors, they're fabulous. I don't notice the middle age spread, gray hairs, or the balding, lol. Now if I could only figure out how to ignore the old age grunts - can't get out of bed, up off my knees (quit giggling, Midnite! ;)), or out of my car without making all kinds of straining noises. :)

What a drag it is getting old,
Rolling Stone Dom

PS - All my in-laws are my parents age, that helps too! ;)

Hehe.  I didn't either till I was legal.  If you believe that I have some land for sale.

Birdie

It's pretty sad when you wish you were 44 again. :'(

Connie, I want to be invited to LAFB's 55th B-day party. I just know you are going to serve her a photostatic copy of the post above for dinner. LOL ;)

I notice that among ALL the people listed, poor Quentin's name doesn't show up.

Hoping this is a mere oversight,

This is one instance where I adore, (drool over and dream about) the man but could live without the character.

Dom, my son will gladly share the shovel with you.

Birdie--who can't imagine living anywhere else but New England, but who know?

Cassandra, you better get another pound of ground beef! :)

PS - And if Birdie's son is over 21, another bottle...

dom?  Where IS he anyway?  Since he became a moderator he hardly posts any more and I forget who he likes....I miss dom's posts!

Hi Connie, I'm right here, with you. :)

Intently reading each and every post leaves me a lot less free time to write or respond. And it takes me forever (wink to Tuffie) to write a single paragraph, unfortunately.

My favorites are Liz and Roger from the black and white days. And the B&W days in general. Love all of Clarice B's characters, and Thayer D's , too. Viki is another favorite of mine. Add the original Sam Evans to that list. Oh yeah, and the original Burke Devlin. Leviathans is a sentimental fave. Like MB, I am more into the moments and relationships the characters share between them. Laura, Burke and Roger. Liz and Roger. Liz and Viki. Liz and Carloyn. Liz and Mathew. Liz and David. (Oh hell, Liz and everybody - this makes Liz my favorite character). Viki and David. Viki and Carolyn. Viki and Burke...

Have become very fond of 1897...

Dom, I live in the Northeast corridor and I love the snow.  I don't mind driving in it at all and I don't even mind the shoveling.  It's good exercise, and perfectly safe when you know how to use your legs and not your back when shoveling  About two weeks ago, a predicted two inch snow storm turned into five and it was gorgeous.  The soft quiet the scene generates - just beautiful.  I like ice storms though they can be very destructive, and they are definitely not safe to drive in.  However, the aftermath of an ice storm is beautiful to look at.  I think I am going to get my wish this winter and have a few good snow storms.   Our previous winters have been pretty mild.

Nancy, I think we must have been roommates in a past life, or perhaps we will be in the next.

Dom
