Gerard I thought I saw the David hanging scene too.

I know I saw it! ;)

I thought that the hanging scene was in some of the first showings of the movie but was edited out before the film hit wide distribution? If definitely not, then it must have been the picture in the HODS novel, or did I imagine that also?:)

I know I saw him hanging somewhere!

would have liked to seen a flashback to the history of Petofi!

Me too!

I bet if they'd have had Petofi show up in present real time (instead of the 1840 (or was it 41?) PT, the show would have sustained better ratings and have lasted longer.

By the way, wasn't there a song about a unicorn by some pre-U2 Irish rock and roll band back during the halcyon days of the swinging 1960's?

The group name was The Irish Rovers. (I think.)

a consolation and substitution prize can be negotiated, and Merv Griffin Productions  [oooooooh] had already considered a 'Tim Plate' for dom!  ['scuse me for only thinking of the ladies!]

So glad this is a Merv Griffin production. Had this been Let's Make A Deal...well, what would I do with a hippopotamus? Why, I'd have to trash him from top to bottomus! (Doesn't get much cornier than this, does it?::))

i have no problem with the silent part but i'd rather see him ala Jim Palmer(boxers not briefs)

Nothin' finer than a slim body in crisp white boxers. Love that easy access. [evilb] Hopefully the prop man will remember to turn the water on in the fountain (and be able to keep it running, lol). Wet white boxers on Tim Shaw...ahhh,

Holy Hats!  "Strumpet" is one of my favorite words!!  My kid left her English teacher with her mouth open when the teacher asked if anyone knew what the "orange" girls were at the Globe Theatre...(they were reading "Romeo and Juliet")...and she answered "strumpets".

I got a phone call. ::)

LOL! I bet the teacher still tells that story. The first time I heard the word strumpet (isn't it delicious? Or and I thinking of crumpets?:)) was out of the mouth of Pheobie (sp?) Tyler on All My Children. I didn't even have to look it up; she was referring to her soon to be (or then) daughter-in-law Donna. I rolled on to the floor with laughter.

Let's see....that would just about cover a pound and a half of veal cutlets, 2 loaves of bread, some Prosciutto Di Parma, and a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano, at Lombardi's.  Just barely! [lghy]

No doubt! If it's Italian bread "with seeds" (I love saying that!) it'll be worth it. I haven't had veal in ages! I love it but my hubby won't let it into the house - animal activist. Oh well, for better or worse...

Well, that's a hell of a whole lot better than a life-time supply of strumpet red Lee Press-on Nails! [lghy]

Grateful Dom

PS - Though a $1,500.00 gift certificate to Lombardi's would have been nice too!  ;)

She didn't wear black for too long after she inherited the loot from Grandmama either.

Can't say I'm surprised, really. Gregory's been setting this up for a long time.

A classic case of the heart over-ruling the head. It was obvious she knew it wasn't the proper thing to do. He practically browbeat her into it. I'd guess her caving in against her better judgement was mostly due to the thought of having someone to share all the burdens of the past weeks with. Poor Judith...:'(

Thanx for asking dom. I didn't post my post-op recovery from October's surgery because I thought it was too off-topic.

YIKES! You're right! I should have IM'd you privately. A classic case of the hunter getting captured by the game. [blshy]

Wishing the best for you,

This may sound morbid but I'm making damn sure my hubby doesn't throw out all my DS stuff when my time comes. I've added a codicil to my will so that all my DS stuff(DVD's, videos, fan fiction collections like TWODS or Karlenzines)are donated to my local library for other DS fans to use.  With a reasonable donation, they should stay on the shelves for a few years--I hope.  If not, they could always get rid of it at their yearly Book Fair.
As long as it's not at the town dump, I'll be able to RIP.
Otherwise, I may be haunting someone.

I hear you, Carol. I don't have a formal will but I do have instructions on what is to be done with the hoards of stuff I've collected over the years. I know a lucky tofu Queen in Boston who is going to get all my DS stuff if I should go before she (which is likely, seeing how she leads such a saintly life :-*). What I am not giving away I want sold with the proceeds going to the charity of my choice. Of course there are a few things I am taking with me (regardless of how the saying goes...) ;)

Dom (Who hopes they like listening to the Supremes - where ever he ends up.)

PS - Have you fully recovered from your eye surgery? Hope all is well.
