Holy Hats! "Strumpet" is one of my favorite words!! My kid left her English teacher with her mouth open when the teacher asked if anyone knew what the "orange" girls were at the Globe Theatre...(they were reading "Romeo and Juliet")...and she answered "strumpets".
I got a phone call.
LOL! I bet the teacher
still tells that story. The first time I heard the word strumpet (isn't it delicious? Or and I thinking of crumpets?
) was out of the mouth of Pheobie (sp?) Tyler on All My Children. I didn't even have to look it up; she was referring to her soon to be (or then) daughter-in-law Donna. I rolled on to the floor with laughter.
Let's see....that would just about cover a pound and a half of veal cutlets, 2 loaves of bread, some Prosciutto Di Parma, and a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano, at Lombardi's. Just barely!
No doubt! If it's Italian bread "with seeds" (I
love saying that!) it'll be worth it. I haven't had veal in ages! I love it but my hubby won't let it into the house - animal activist. Oh well, for better or worse...
