Hmm....I would think it would be rather degrading to walk around serving drinks, with your breasts pushed up, bunny ears on your head, and a big, fluffy cotton ball stuck on your ass.  LOL  (but what do I know)

I can accept and respect that opinion from you, Connie, ( :-* ) but I wouldn't accept and respect it from someone who willingly applied for the job, was hired for the job, and was happy to make the money.

But I guess when I think of it in terms of, "The only way I can make decent money as a woman is to dress up "like this" and push booze!", well, then I (guess I) can see it from a feminist's point of view.

I guess you're right, Connie, to each his own...

I see Josette as more of a Pollyanna than an idiot.

I've never been a fan of other Soaps and so I found much of the pre Barnabas episodes a bore.  It was the first time I had ever seen them.  Maybe when they come out on DVD and I see them again I'll like them better the second time around.  I know I really disliked the Adam/Dream Curse episodes the first time I saw them on Sci Fi but watching them on DVD for my second viewing I find I like them much better this time.

I really don't mean to hijack this thread, but...I agree.

For me, the more I view the show, the more I am able to "get over" it's sillyness (after 1795 - meaning the Dr Lang/Jeff Clark/Man-made monster subplot. Once Adam gets here though, I am able to start enjoying again.). I guess (for me) it's easier to watch once the shock has worn off.

I liked the pre-Barns from the get-go though. I think it's mostly because I was so overjoyed to see them after taking for granted for decades that I'd never get the opportunity. It was very satisfying to see the origins of so many of the characters I had grown so found of as a child. (I started watching regularly during the beginnings of the Petofi period til about probably halfway thru 1840 during the original run.) The nostalgia of black & white was and is also a big part of my enjoying the PBs as well, and the fact that up until Josette's ghost (or was Bill Malloy's ghost the first phantom?) appears, the goings-on are plausable, which IMHO, makes it all very interesting and engrossing.

I wont even consider buying the DVDs until the the pre-Barns make their DVD debut.

And I'm amazed at how out of touch I am with the woman's point of view about 70s womens lib. I think that it was very progressive that women could decide for themselves to go into that line of work and make good money doing it. Especially considering how "clean & respectful" it all was. It seems very liberating to me. I guess I tend to see it more as KLS does than Gloria. I've never read Gloria's expose. Perhaps I'd have a different opinion if I had, or perhaps, if I were a woman. Either way, it is a fascinating subject.

Does KLS mention in her book if she kept her bunny work a secret from Dan Curtis (or anyone else for that matter) for fear she would not get work if people knew? Just curious.

After finally seeing the series from beginning to end in the 90s, Liz became my fave.

And the rest of the characters in the montage look like they just walked in on them. How funny!

Hi, Cassandra! I moved the face to below the plant to Evan's left. See it now? I don't know how to just circle a photo, as you did. So I had to move it to make it obvious. I see your phantom face now too (now that it's circled).

Maybe the guy in the cowboy hat is the ghost of Peter Bradford! LOL! Remember that corny, hatted dark phantom they used on the show that ended up being Peter bradford?  ::)

I'll nominate your "face in the window" as Elliot Stokes. I guess he traded in his monocle for a pair of glasses once he got to "the other side". ;D

Well, now I gotta go see if I can see the ghost in the striped shirt! :D I'm hoping it's Joe Haskell! If so, I'm gonna offer to house sit when the family goes on vacation!  [wink2]

I see 'im, Connie. Took a few seconds to see the hat, but I finally did.

You weren't wearing a hat when you took the pic, were you?  ;)

Here's the face I see in the window that Cassandra pointed out (I think it's the same one), Connie. I moved it way over because when I moved it anywhere left of Evan, in the picture, it gave me the creeps.

Looks like Quentin to me!
