Thanks, I reread the thread and gathered it was a chocholate confection of some kind. I wonder if it is that stuff that comes in the oblong triangular yellowish box?

So, care to speculate which DS character might have a toblerone addiction? For some reason, N. Blair comes to mind for me. Perhaps Liz. The name is too fancy (and scarey!) for me to picture anyone else on the show to be much interested in it. Of course how would Liz even know about it, the poor dear hasn't been out of the house in a while.  ::)

But isn't that how it usually goes?  ::)

Okay, I looked it up, couldn't find it. What is the meaning of the word toblerone?

I had some trouble voting, but perhaps I had already voted those catagories and forgot. I wasn't able to cast a vote in one or two catagories I didn't recollect having all ready cast votes in. No biggie though as far as I'm concerned.

And for the record, I'm not seeing any results either. But I'm anxious to!  ;D

[laughing4]  Dom, you're really on a roll today - and that one is particularly priceless!  [lol2]

But I do have to wonder what MrsJ was thinking by conducting a personal call in the foyer?!  :o  She should have been talking on the phone in the kitchen and was taking an awful chance. I mean, what would Mr. Roger have said if he ever caught her forgetting her place like that??!!  [furious3]

Well, you know how Mrs. J. is: If the issue is critical enough, she'll take any chance to get the word out. lol

I'm glad this topic was bumped up to the top of the board because I forgot to vote!

This is a lot of fun!

Sorry, Jackie, your (very funny) reply in this thread had to be deleted, please click the link below for an explanation.

Again, sorry,

Look, Mrs. Johnson, you may have the time to make mayo to order, but around here a newly opend jar is about as fresh as it's gonna get."

Been waiting for That Darn Cat to be released on DVD. Now, if we could just get Night of the Iguana on DVD. . .

It's almost as if there is a boycott of Tennessee Williams product (that I want, lol) to DVD. I really like a lot of his work turned film. But not much of it (that I'd like to purchase) seems to be available on DVD. A real head scratcher to me. I asked for DVDs of Williams work for x-mas and all I got were VHS products. IIRC, only Suddenly Last Summer was available on DVD from my list.

I keep seeing That Darn Cat listed on cable but it always the remake. The same for Gargoyles, Grayson is in that also, isn't she? But the Gargoyles I see listed on cable is always a cartoon (I believe). I've been hoping to catch both films on TV for a long while now. I loathe Disney movies from the 60s and I'd absolutely hate having to sit through TDC, but I really would like to see Grayson in something other than DS. I was fortunate enough to see Satan in High Heels. What a hoot!

I imagine it has to do with money (doesn't it always?). Even if it's that there isn't a decent print left to put on a DVD, there's probably no money to restore it, or at least it's not at the top of anyone's list. NOTI is one of my all-times faves.

...And the DS movies have not been released to DVD, correct? It is amazing sometimes what has been released on DVD as opposed to what has.

The happiest day of my life will be when 1958's Attack of the 50 Foot Woman is released to DVD. Dare I expect Curse of the Faceless Man (also 1958) as well?  ::)

Me too. I did an episode on cassette tape once using the DS LP (album) for background music. All I remember from it is a scene I did at the Blue Whale between two male characters.

And I remember at one point I wanted to be on the show. So I did a living room audition, lol. I decided that I could play David, after Leviathan Michael punishes him by changing his face, and giving him amnesia, etc. I used a pillow for the transformation scene.  ::)  I didn't get the part, lol.

Once I acted out a scene w/a friend between Garth Blackwood & Aristede. I played Aristede. <dom blushes>

Then there was the time that I've never been able to live down. I was playing Barnabas in a car, in the rain. My cousin was Carolyn and she'd asked me to marry her. I told her with all the seriousness that I could muster that I couldn't marry her because vampires didn't have wee wees. Neeless to say, my cousin ruined the take with his laughter. He's still laughing. And needless to say, I am very glad I am not a vampire!  ;)

I was a corny kid.

I think it's great seeing DS mentioned in print these days. Honestly, I never thought I'd see the day.

Current Talk '05 I / Re: Montage
« on: February 01, 2005, 03:06:17 PM »
Agreed. This is my favorite DS tarot card in this series of cards. I find myself staring at it too.

I find myself analizing the montages at times, usually the first time I see a changed one. It's almost like a game. I look for significant patterns. Who is opposite who, sometimes they face each other or are looking away. All laughing or all looking dour, etc. There always seems to be some kind of theme to it (other than the time period, which would be all too obvious of course). And there are the times when there may be five images across and I look to see how the middle photo ties in to it.

Okay, so I am easily entertained. ;D  Anyway, it's a fun 30 seconds of play. Thanks, MB.

I must see this movie!

Does Grayson speak French in this flick, or do we hear a French woman's voice overdub?

Did Grayson ever speak of her experience making this film? Did she enjoy it?

I wonder if Dan Curtis had seen this movie if he would have had any reservations about using Grayson for the Dr Hoffman role? I'm not sure why, but I am under the impression that DCP didn't hold many auditions after the core cast had been found. But I may be pulling that impression out of thin air.

I wouldn't mind taking a day trip to see this move. I hope it is announced here when it comes to the NY/NJ/PA area again.

Thanks again, Heather, for the bonus captures!
