Highlight of the episode is a genuinely sweet scene between Desmond and Leticia. It is very well played and captures the two characters perfectly.
They are gearing up for Quentin's witchcraft trial. Flora doesn't want Desmond to defend Quentin. She certainly has a point but she and Quentin seem to be the only "good" characters who actually seem to trust Gerard. Everyone else seems at least suspicious.
We get some back story on the Stokes family. Carrie's deceased parents were Amos Stokes and Martha Bradbury, which is all well and good. But Carrie seems to be an only child, so how does the line continue, if Eliot and, by extension, Hallie are direct descendants of Ben Stokes?
There is a brief attempt at tying the story to 1970 when Leticia reads Carrie's palm. Carrie assumes that it's further proof that she and Tad are going the way of the dinosaur.
Flora has an idea for a new book about vampires and seemed unaware that there had been attacks back in 1790whatever. Though it's certainly conceivable that Flora may not have lived in Collinsport then, someone probably said something over the years, even if it was merely Daniel babbling.
Flora logically decides to hold a seance to see if she can get Roxanne to name names. Barnabas does not look pleased with the idda.
