The morgue seems so antique even for 1967.  I remember those kind on handles on the ice box in the cellar of my grandmothers house, but I guess that the morgue is one big icebox. I like how Carolyn realizes she took Joe for granted.

David has heard about the seance from the always discreet housekeeper. I think David was nine in the beginning, but he may have had a birthday by now.

"I'm a person who minds their own business."  I could hear mrs J say this every day. Laura does not want the fire put out! Will this strange behavior get back to the house and town?  Vickie is certainly well guarded.

The candle lights up the chalkboard in the opening and is then one of the seance candles in the opening sequence. This is the most terrifying night of Vickie's life? I think being on the verge of losing ones head to a small hatchet would be número UNO.  Laura speaks French but she didn't listen.  Roger wants Guthrie to leave, Laura wants Vickie to leave.

Vickie's fears something will happen to her during the seance. Mrs. J states cryptically that the dead should rest. I remember the reer to reel tape recorders were getting cheap enough at that time so that normal pe pole could afford them. I bet Mrs J had never seen one. And everyone used to say that it didn't sound like them.  The Seance was just spooky. Thanks Lydia for the French.

The atmosphere is stormy at Collinwood. Carolyn and Vickie have another chat and Carolyn reveals she thinks of David as a brother even if she's called him a little monster for years. Vicki says she knows. Carolyn later says she will never see her mother alive again. Frank and Vickie are alone and he says there is little hope for Elizabeth who is living but no longer alive.  All these images of death before the seance.

Burke and Laura make an attractive couple. Burke kisses her on the lips and then on the neck as he leaves. She hurriedly lights up a cigarette after he leaves.  Sam reveals to guthrie that Laura burned his hands. Guthrie the bold one today invites Laura to the seance.

Vickie seemed very young in this episode as she sat on the floor by the fire recounting David's dream of Laura with the blazing eyes. Carolyn later feels trouble in the air and seems to be tuned into the spirits of Collinwood.

Carolyn seems to have left the girlish persona behind her and become motherly towards David. I liked their previous sibling like relationship. David sits by the fire as he mother does.  Does the more tme he spend with her make him more like her?  The Blue Whale is busy tonight.  I'm surprised the Collins family doesn't own it as a way to get their money back from the workers. Maggie and joe sure make a handsome couple.

It seems as time goes on Josette becomes stronger. I wonder if it was David's arrival or Vickie's or the combination.   Seance! Can't wait.

Yes, that is what it reminds me of from the movies where the hero confronts the super villan and toys with him.

Not a Sam fan. All his episodes seem to drag.  Burke reveals that Elizabeth saw Laura with him the day she became I'll and that Laura lied about it.

Laura reveals more about her life with Roger to a complete stranger, but with everyone else she has a vested interest in keeping her true feelings to herself.  She comes across as being quit bitter still and not so otherworldly as she had previously.

The spiders seem to have been extra busy since Vickie was held hostage. It seems that the Old House has the ability to add a nd detract from the debris at will.

Carolyn feels she will never see her mother alive again. One would think someone from the family would go with Elizabeth to be by her side. These things take time Guthrie says. I might begin to wonder how long this person is planning on staying. Carolyn and Roger spar over Guthrie and Roger loses.  The indignity to lose to a teenage girl. Roger is going around the house like he is in charge and Carolyn puts him in his place and then informs him she is also in harge of the business.  Burn!  Roger can only say that she is more like her mother every day. What fun.
