I keep thinking about how Willie has just totally surrendered to Barnabas and that Maggie has been able to fight back and try to escape and even try to destroy him.  Both  of them have had to survive a life of hardship, but the difference might be that Maggie has known the love of her pitiful father plus Joe and Willie who has nothing gives all to his master.
I like when KLS says. "Maggie for Margaret.". I remember finding my great-great aunt's picture in the attic with Maggie written on it and asking who she was and my Grandmother saying we decorate her grave she's Margaret, they called her Maggie.
Willie is hammering and Barnabas says its beautiful. It's a coffin and Maggie sees it. Does she realize she is going to become a vampire? Willie leaves Maggie to face Barnabas alone with the spike she tried to use earlier. Way to do your job Willie.  Maggie then takes an excruciating amount of time to stake him and of course he has awakened by then.

The VoiceOver. Behind the locked door is a Terrible secret.  It is revealed after eighteen years to be just old junk. Now someone might wonder about this much ado about nothing and conclude the secret had been removed or maybe is hidden in the room.  The kids are not happy about Moms new husband.

It had to be asked and George did of Sam inquiring if he were drinking.  Though, I think, the drinking is a given but thequantity is the question.  The shot of the terrifying face of Barnabas closing the lid from the perspective of the person been sealed in the coffin was inspired.  Is this the end?

What interested me most, beyond what I mentioned five years ago, was the back view of Elizabeth with her hands folded in front of her, so that the empty jacket sleeves hanging down looked as though her hands had been cut off.  I tried imagining that this was symbolic of something, but I didn't get very far.
Perhaps that her hands are tied or she is helpless.  The scripts and the show are really good at this point so it seems a deliberate choice.  Elizabeth loathes the sight of Jason today and just yesterday Barnabas Loathed himself.

JF had a hard time saying,"Very tragic Malady."   Barnabas says he loaths the one who is involved with Maggie when Woodard thinks he feels sorry for him.  It seems  a strong reaction for one only slightly involved in the Evanses plight, but Woodard seems not to notice.
Another Burke/Vickie date.  Burke needs to loosen up a bit and have some fun. He's not showing the passion he had with Laura.

"I'd die before I'd marry you."  then, "let's hope you don't have to go that far."  I guess death is an option but I don't see her going that far.  She says she was in prison but Jason who has been in one, counters that she was not.

Jason informs Elizabeth that they will be married. It was only a matter of time as Jason wants more and more and she is unwilling to see that there is no end to his game.

Maybe dr. Dave hasn't been made aware there has been a profound change in his friend since med school. I was also thinking of Dave. With all the names to choose from, why pick one so close to another character on the serial.   Roger has found  large sums of money missing and realizes what is going on.  How can Jason spend so much money in Collinsport?  I suppose some is being sent to the bank but it's not like he's at Monte Carlo.

Why does Josette not possess Maggie and relive her supposed glorious love with Barnabas?  I think by now it would be clear a person needs a lock on the front door when entertaining a captive. And a very special goodnight to you David.  Barnabas hasa plan for David it seems.

I keep wondering if the door opening on its own is a weakened Josette. maybe to her picture being banished from the mantel or a more powerful presence of Barnabas has reduced her to door opening or maybe it's another ghost.  Barnabas tells David Josette is gone. How does he know? And Why? because she is afraid of Barnabas even in her ghostly form.

It is interesting that Willie is so submissive and Maggie is at times able to fight against The control of Barnabas.  Now Josette comes from France at age 18 and he was her English tutor. It would be interesting if Jeremiah and Josettes child that the present day family was descended from was actually the child of Barnabas

The Star gets delivered to the doorstep of the great house. I wonder if the paperboy gets a big tip for the distance and the hills.  Vickie just walks into the old house like David which makes me think of the similarities between the two once again.  When the girls reveal to Elizabeth that they restored Josette's room she pointedly wonders about it.  The no faced Josete gets no credit for he work.

I like the idea of ghost dogs.  It would explain why they seem so,close when there are no dogs. Willies face has healed fast perhaps due to Barnabas' bite having some miraculous healing power. Then Jason beats Willie when he sees him.  I guess this is Karma coming back to bite you.

The doctor says there was every indication Maggie is dead and then next scene we see Maggie wandering throught the wood looking better than she has for days. Sam is teleprompting and overacting two of the reasons I do not like him.  Barnabas tells her she will become Josette and to make sure we get that point Maggie's image fades into Josettes painting at the end. The Music box came from the Orient. It doesnt look particularly oriental, but maybe they were making knock offs even then.

Maggie is found on bed. Bloody wounds on neck this time. Things are progressively getting more graphic as the story moves along. There is a Collinsport Hospital and If Elizabeth does not use it, nor will I. The nurse seems less than compassionate at a time when it appears Maggie could die.  She thinks Maggie is dead and then they see Maggie is just gone.
