I had to laugh at the idea that the house is restored, when the frint hall as torn dirty wallpaper and holes. Way to make a good forst impression and really beyond clearing the cobwebs and trash, the drawing room is the same.
Barnabas and Willie quarrel over the party like an old married couple who have been together so long they are afraid to go find a better life.  Barnabas apparently want to recreate the past in an idealized way without Jeremiah.  I keep wondering if Josette was really as in love as he thinks.
Sarah's delight at finding her Blue dress is so sad. She seems to be searching for her lost past just as Barnabas.

There is a view of the ocean and the moon  from the front door. The night is kind and soft according to Barnabas, but I think he is just trying To sell Vicikie on the idea. He intends to create a moment out of the past by throwing a costume party with the family members in original clothes and Vickie will be Josette. Elizabeth comments she looks like Naomi.

The archways in the basement by the steps Are missing and while had had noticed they were the same design as the one in the mausoleum, I had not realized that they were one and the same.
Julia's fishtank is cloudy. Dr. Woodard comes across as rather arrogant to presume and then fore his will on a other doctors patient who is a specialist while he is some country bumpkin.  He's rather whiny and I find that
Beyond annoying and am feeling he is going in the second Burke category

Supposedly the replacement of Alexanrdra was a cost saving measure as they had to pay her for it, and it would make sense as now she is no longer the focus of the show and appearing in less episodes. It seems strange and the actors voices don't always math how their characters speak.
Another exterior shot with Carolyn on the beach. It must be close to the end of those also.
Poor Willie. Beaten again. Foolish Jason hasn't been around long enough to know that strange things exist at Collinwood.

Jason is on a course to the jagged rocks of death in the VoiceOver spoils that he will soon meet his demise perhaps off the cliffs.  Jason eavesdrops and learns that a new Josette is in the works.  Jason hints that he knows about Vickies past.

Elizabeth's desk is now back in the place where all the action occurred. Paul Stoddard was alive ten years ago, but now it doesn't matter because he is divorced.

At least one mystery is solved fron the first season, and we know that the sobbing was Elizabeth with her foolish wasted tears.

Jason made a lot of work for himself digging up the basement. Bury him in the woods, throw him off Widows Hill, down the stairs. Jason just does not seem to be the type to make all this extra work for himself when he could dispose of the body in an easy manner.

Why did Carolyn wait so long to rifle through Jason's belongings. Why hadn't David. The idea that Jason has a locked diary a teen girl would have is interesting.  Carolyn is the seen alone and drunk after Jason informs her she must move out.  The bartender actually speaks. I like how the Judge uses mister for everyone except Devlin.  He must know Elizabeth well as he is on a first name basis with her. He was at her first wedding and in his tastelessness prattles on and on about it.  "I killed Paul Stoddard and that man was my accomplice." great line and since there were no witnesses, Elizabeth should have blamed Jason. Who would  believe him and with her connections shed probably be on probation at the most, but her guilt would prevent her from that, but it would be satisfying to see Jason get the chair for a bungled blackmail plot.

Death is masculine in the VoiceOver. The two women look so much alike in these scenes. Vickie points out that her employer has made her own prison and been her own executioner.  Vickie points out that while there is life there is always hope as Willie did to the hopeless Maggie not long ago. We learn much more of Jason's past which is not surprising.

Will Barnabas prey on Elizabeth or save her?  That seems to be the set up. Antony George gets special mention in the opening as if anyone could forget. Barnabas seems to hint at a jealousy over Burke.

Elizabeth dreams of death and it's a fairly realistic dream, where most DS dreams seem drug induced. Buzz and Carolyn's plot is moved forward by Vickie's eavesdropping on their plans to get a license.  Jason seems giddy at his plans for the ultimate gala wedding. One of my favorite lines, "The sea is my grave, my grave is the sea."  The fourth widow legend seems to ignore Josette but then she supposedly jumped over a cruel husband/ family that hated her and now a vampire lover.  Then there is the third governess story that hints that Vickie will be the latest victim.

First glimpse of the Wyndcliff exterior and it's not some grainy faded dirt covered slide as most of the Collinwood shots are.  Dr. Hoffman is very evasive. My first thought after years of dealing with doctors would be you are done and we are out of here.

Particularly enjoyed the disdain Roger has for the gleeful Jason. Roger coming throught the real woods to the old house with flashlight was good and then complaining to his new confidant about Jason.  Later Jason wonders about where Barnabas is during the day.
