Burke is just annoying. It's really quite funny that Vickie old care less about the heat and lights also. The house is really quite nice for being deserted for so long. The chill seems to suggest it is haunted d the other times they feel chills a ghost comes into play.  Barnabas should have a better story and have created an identity in London so tht if it was checked all would pan out.

Julia should have a better cover story to,explain what she is doing without revealing as much as she does since her plan is to cure Barnabas then she shouldnt point nything his way nd how does she plan to present her findings and what is the purpose? To cure more vampires? It seems she is trying to either stop death or bring back the dead by some means but there seems to be a number of unthoughtful ideas going on.

Julia seems to assume Barnabas wants help. Her whole plan falls apart if he refuses. The fact that Joe and Sam  are having a hard time keeping Maggie's secret makes them seem idiotic. Thy are supposedly concerned with her staying alive. The fly make one wonder if Barnabas ever cleans the grime off his person. He must smell somewhat musty from the coffin and the house.

I wonder if Vickie isn't so defensive because of Burkes domination of her and she transferring any criticism as abusive behavior towards her.

It really shows how much thought the actors put into their characters and individual scenes during this period of the show

It's interesting how frumpy Julia is in comparison with the women of Collinwood. T seems that Elizabeth is always reluctant to try anything new, but with enough persuassion she eventually caves in and goes along.

A single girl staying the night in a mans house just isn't done without people talking in 1967. I often wonder what the original audience thought about some of these goings on from their middle American homes.

My opinion of this party has not changed a bit in five years.  I'll bet that the spirit who is possessing Vicky is Naomi, who wants say, "Barnabas, my son, I didn't raise you to bore your party guests!"
I remember the fondue fling and blender drinks being big at my parents and their friends parties. Even the most frugal family served pretzels.  The blender is obviously out, but surely Willie could scare up a fondue pot and a bag of chips.

Vickie is lost in Josettes music box looking out the window which must look out towards the sea. Burke manages to look like An idiot. it's a book for Pete's sake. Vickie says he thinks she will be swallowed up by the past.  it seems to point that Vickie will be taken over by Josette which could be interesting depending on how she feels about Barnabas.

Julia wants to meet the Collin family as a genealogist. Now between Elizabeth and Barnabas, I'm not sure why the need one. Julia learns that David Knows Sarah.  Julia reveals she is afraid of nothing.  Now if she is focusing on the family, how hard is it to figure out who is behind the kidnapping and other crimes?

Dave and Julia go round and round and she defies him and takes Maggie to the cemetery.
Faux Burke is hostile to the idea of putting flowers on the grave or maybe just hostile in general and to Vickie most of all.

Maggie remembers tinkling music and then the scene cuts to Vickie playing the music box. Tomorrow is revealed to be Josettes birthday when she was given the box.   Maggie reveals she fears the cemetery and Vickie longs to go there to place flowers on the graves.

I thought the hand Naomi felt was Sarah touching her mother, but apparently she watched from the stairs.
Barnabas decided that the past is just the past and he must let josette go and have someone from the future.
Vickie is the natural choice.

The land of the living will merge with the land of the dead.
Now that she is wearing the dress, it looks like Carolyn has a snake along the bottom.
Barnabas could have at least provided a script to everyone to act out their parts, but the highlight is giving everyone claret cup.  Well al least the ghosts are bored and decide to liven things up.

Vickie looks beautiful in the dress.  It shimmers on my screen. I wonder what color it was.  This is the first party for Elizabeth in 18 years.  As was previously mentioned, it is only the family she sees day and Barnabas, but at least she is getting out of the house, but then she's been to the old house before.
Carolyn's dress looks like an old bedspread.  She says Vickie deserves to be a Collins. Victoria Collins and then Vickie's says no Josette Collins.  They have at least carried this plot point over froml the Laura days.
Barnabas reveals that Jeremiah  was his enemy, but there is no clear indication of how they are related only that he was unable to destroy him presumably before he was chained.
