Poor Daniel has realized that Millicent has gone round the loop and then Nathan reveals he is in charge and mandhandles Daniel.  One cannot just decide to be someones guardian. Assuming that Millicent was appointed by the court which is unlikely because they didn't appoint women in those days, then for her to be removed she would have to be declared incompetent which is obviously is and then the court would appoint another guardian.  Of course this is the town of Collinsport where the court system is in la la land.
Vickie finally wants to get away as far as she can. Ben whips open the secret door to hide them and then Daniel appears bringing to mind the kidnapping of Vickie by Matthew Morgan. 
Vickie dreams of of coffin and Daniel strangled by Nathan.

Joshua manages to stop the strangling. I wonder why Angelique did not appear as the giant head unless they didn't want to pay Lara Parker for the use of her head floating about. The picture is still over the mantel and it would seem more interesting if the power came from the painting. In the end the good cannot overcome the evil and flames engulf the good witch. Hardly a storybook ending.

When did Angelique have her painting done? I guess I missed it. It's not very flattering so if she conjured it up herself she should curse herself.  Nathan calls Millicent a chicken and she goes to the tower to prove him wrong. She says she sees a light, but then enters a dark tower. She finds Barnabas who sinks fangs into her craziness.  When Joshua tells Natalie about Barnabas we get a dramatic fade out reaction shot from Grayson. I will guess this is not an episode by her husband.

Barnabas reveals a little about his condition that he has an animal instrinct to kill. Finally he reveals that Angelique is the witch behind everything and that Trask is dead. Daniel reappears and Millicent reveals she will marry Nathan the next day. She will also put all her money in  Daniel's name which will not please her intended when he finds out. I have to assume that Millicent's parents were as drifty as she, and or, they died soon after Daniel was born before they realized she was always going to be different. It seems Daniel was excluded from will. I'm just going to go with that the parents were as loony as Millicent and didn't get around to putting Daniel in the will before they died.
The whole lunacy about moving Barnabas to the tower and locking him is defies logic, not to mention people to bring the coffin into the house and haul it up three stories. No one thinks to cover the windows and Naomi sees light in the tower windows.

Joshua in his don't force me to take steps mode threatens to have Millicent declared insane. Her simple mind does not seen to comprehend that would be quite easy for him to accomplish. With much ado, Joshua makes it to the Old House at dusk to see a hand with Barnabas' ring emerge from the coffin.

Noah talks like a 40's gangster. For some reason Nathan needed a stolen fan that belonged to Josette to send a  fake message from Barnabas.  Natalie reveals that Angeliques mother was not respectable because she used potients and herbs. Well wouldn't that make you think the daughter might have knowledge of these things as well?

Dead Maude makes me think about the only Maudes I ever knew were old,mostly grey haired or at least were under their wigs. None were prostitutes. If I had any sympathy for Trask, I would say he has bad luck to dream of Maude and Abigail when there are a town of more beautiful women or men he could dream about. The hand beacons and the tarot cards predict that this will appear in future storylines in reworked fashion of course.

"It's never going to end Ben for me?"  A nice tortured sympathetic line from Barnabas. Noah(ugh). Another dock girl for Barnabas. Nathan saves her and finds the cane.
