So Willie has been told the dream. I wonder if they were getting complaints that the story was going to slow and decided to speed it up.
Barnabas in a moment of brilliance decides that Adam might get bored with hearing the same tape over and over again.
Willie teases Adam like a jealous older brother.
Sam looks like he's gained fifty pound all in the gut from the side view and lights up at the thought of 500 in cash and will do anything.
I wonder how he hands aged first since he was painting her face?

Mrs J. says that the dream is worse each time one has it. This is the first time that I noticed this information and it makes me think that it doesn't matter how cheesy the dream seems at times that it is just the having it that causes the terror.
I likes the line from Maggie, "A place that serves baby food."  Joe just seems too possesive. He storms out like a little boy also. I like Maggie's attraction to the earrings. KLS looks very pretty and I like how she plays the scene with a certain distracted quality like she did when she was lost in Josette.
Willie meanwhile plays with the gun in a crazed manner and apparently intends to use it on Joe.
Mrs J tells David the dream offscreen which seems strange.  She sits by his side waiting for it and there is a beauty in her face that isn't usually there.

Jullia and Angelique are way to chummy. They come back from an occult visit to Stokes. There just does not seem to be anything in the way Hall plays the scene to suggest she is playing Cassandra. If she had told Barnabas that she did not believe that Cassandra was Angelique or was in cahoots with Stokes to see if Cassandra was up to  something, then it would make sense.
Julia doctors Adam in the Basement and Barnabas appears to can't wait to leave and go gallivanting around Collinwood.
Adam says music and Julia plays him the tape recorder. Now would it not seem more practical to just have a transistor radio rather than something that needed to be rewound and buttons pressed to make it operate.  Not to mention the content of the tape being monotonous

The idea that Maggie may be remembering could be a interesting plot now that Barnabas is free from he curse

Barnabas' interaction with Adam reminds me of training a dog. Cassandra buys David a knife which was a big deal and lots of fun back in those days. How sad that the only home Adam knows is a windowless cell in a basement that has no heat or electricity.

They needed Willie released to help but where was he? The opening voice over makes no mention of the past,  I think, for the first time since the return.  I guess this is the ultimate in child not seen nor heard. Locked in a basement with no light etc. No toys except for Willie.  Julia mentions she taught him to eat.  Willie says, I don't know anything.  When asked to teach Adam. The episode ends with Adam chained to the wall crying. No wonder nobody likes windcliffe, if Julia treats her guests like its 1950 in a North Dakota asylum.

Barnabas decides in another of his harebrained schemes to kill Adam. At least he is consistent with the go to plan. Julia thinking clearly says he is like a child born as an adult and the strength of a dozen men. David's sweater has metal buttons on it which were usually very unique and if you lost one caused much ado. Mrs J has the first dream sequence which I find creepy. The bats.
At the end is an interview with Ben Martin who seemed to be Kathryn Kringstads boyfriend when he was in town and was a photographer for Time. He took lots of pictures. It felt like they were scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

This episode had a special warning about technical difficulties. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Adam has been fully dresses for some reason.  Elizabeth just walks on in and wants help with David. Adam goes berserk  over every little thing. Not what anyone had in mind I gather from prior talk.

Why are Barnabas and Julia at the dead Dr House? It would seem that the sheriff would have locked it up assuming there were no heirs. And as nosy as Patterson has been, he didn't check around discover the lab and the body. The lighting in the hall is rather dark and makes the set look pretty and the actors also. When the adjourn to the brighter living room, Grayson Hall looks noticeably old.
Barnabas tried to promote a relationship with the still dead Adam and Vickie. Adam does come to life by episode end.

I wonder if someone read a decorating book that said a mirror opens up a room and they decided to try it on the show.  It has been used in the past but not to the degree it has been recently.
The returning David is rather silent and shirks from Cassandra. Cassandra tells Tony he is falling in love with her and then they kiss which David sees and he is muted by his new stepmother.

The body seems less patchwork quilted today and not that I totally buy it, but  Lang has been preserving the body is through injections.
Barnabas says he will have a young face and Julia says that to some women that does not matter. It seems rather presumptuous to think that Vickie will choose Adam over Jeff, but then, Adam just lying there dead has more charm than Jeff. I think the premise of Barnabas being reborn as Adam could be an interesting storyline.  Barnabas finally admits to Stokes that Cassandra is the witch.  It's quite interesting to see what Stokes motives may be and is he friend or foe?

I wasn't sure if the flowing mass was a nightgown or dress, but apparently it is a robe and its really early at Collinwood.  Julia has started smoking again and has an ashtray full of butts.  Jeff pays another early call, not realizing, as an amnesiac, that it's impolite to call so early. Lang is dead and Jeff is pleased and he breaks into Lang's files to learn of his past.  Lang has written down that he does not have homicidal tendencies. Too bad, for it could have been interesting if he suddenly got his memory back and was a killer. Barnabas and he verbally spar and I long for the days of Mitch Ryan. Jeff returns and tells Vickie that he thought he was a killer but isn't now and they celebrate with I kiss. I cringe as Jeff's blowfish lips engulf Vickie's face. I think I heard that Roger Davis was a find of Mrs. Curtis and what a find he is.  Barnabas utters the lines that Jeff is just a handsome face.  Probably echoing the dispair of the writers at the find being thrust on them.

Eric begs Julia who becomes hysterical to continue the experiment. Eric records on an off tape recorder which the camera quickly hides from view. I wish the music playing had been Hallelujah. It was what I said when Julia informed Barnabas that Lang was dead.  Julia has the dream ending with her no no scrunchy face.
Whoever Powell was involved with must have become disillusioned and cast him off, thankfully.

Body will begin to deteriorate within 48 to 72 hours.  Why isn't it in a cooler or better yet hooked up to a respirator.  They could have at least coughed up an old iron lung to put it in.  What about the down time between death, funeral and burial?  Why not steal fresh corpses or kill some seamen.
Barnabas decides to name his new self Adam and assumes that his memory will transfer to the recycled body without a brain transplant. Barnabas says Adam will be a young cousin from England before he even sees the face which Lang reveals later and Barnabas doesn't care about the terrible sewing job Lang has done.

It seems that Barnabas doesn't notice the rifle until well into the talk he givingvtonWillie. It seems like a father talking to Bad son relationship now. Windcliffe must be pretty bad place. Jeff is all in a dither over the dream. It almost killed him?  Lang has a really foggy dream of a headless man tht is more frightening than the one he sewed together.  Next up Julia.  I think Julia seems softer now less smug.  I suppose that once they decided not to kill her off, they needed to make her more relatable.
