Even with Jeff's diminished brain, it would seem obvious not to confront Nicholas and let him think no one was on to him. Adam tells Stokes that he knows Barnabas and the story of Adam falls into his lap. Jeff learns nothing of his past.  I was wondering why not use Julia to hypnotize, but nobody knows of her talent as they all have forgotten.

The opening was full of glitches.  Angelique knows Nicholas and he declares her whole problem is she is weak for love of Barnabas. They later have a scene in front of a too tall and out of scale picture of the great house. Jeff decides he is Peter
After she ran around for weeks saying Jeff is Peter, Vickie decides no he is not Peter.

Vickie walks in on Nicholas casting a spell over her painting and she takes it from his clutches. He later casts a spell on her and makes me think why not cast a spell to get the painting.  This spell sends her in search of the tree were Cassandra was burned and she wanders about in her flowing nightdress.

Maggie decides to leave Colinwood and go home to the cottage. Too bad she wasn't just a little scheming and had decided to use Pop's demise as a way to get a new home and family.  Jeff as to move out because it would not be proper to live with Maggie now that the blind, alcoholic chaperone has gone to his reward. I like the idea of Peter/Jeff being the same person, but I loathe the person onscreen.

Vickie has a noticably bad reaction to Nicholas Blair. Good thing they never play poker on the show. Nicholas reveals he is an attorney which seems an apt profession for him.  I wonder if he keeps it up?
Jeff returns. Ugh!  Gone three weeks and not even missed. Then Trask comes to Vickie to warn her of the devil and Jeff knows Trask.

Nicolas has some nice lines, "I don't have little vices."
The show seems to be into surprise people watching through the window lately. I expected Adam to show up and here it is Joe doing the Willie watching.
The picture sends out the music that I always associated with Angelique in later years, but it was used with others also in prior times.

Nobody is troubled about the dream curse. I suppose the fact that nobody is having the dream is the real sign that Cassangelique is gone.
Since Cassandra's spells seem to transcend death as did Angelique's, I doubt it, but hopefully wish for that outcome.
The poison is deadly nightshade and that Elizabeth is mentally ill and should stay at Windcliff a place where Maggie ran from and Willie has no wish to return.
Stokes door has number 13 on it.
The two Collins husbands of Angelique has a air of My Favorrite Wife about it. In a supernatural way of course.

Roger tells Julia that Cassandra is missing and Julia appears hopeful. I found a likeability in Hall's protrayal today that seemed to overcome that feeling that Julia has gone beyond protecting herself and trying to keep Barnabas from other women.

Ah yes, one of my favorite lines:  "The Devil has painted your hair, but still, I recognize you!"
Apparently Trask has 18th Centuryitish and has not arrived well versed in the 20th Century as did Barnabas and particualrly Cassandra.
I noticed that Roger's room is also the study for the first time today.
Trask finally seems to dispatched Cassandra.

Pr. Stokes foils Pop from telling the dream.  Sam motions and moves in the sequence. I didn't hear the teleprompter crash but that explains it. I was wondering if David Ford had decided to frail about in his coma in some last ditch effort at acting. Pop meanwhile thankfully dies offscreen probably from TelePrompTer withdrawal and suddenly Pr. Stokes becomes Adams new friend. Should he worry?

I really thought this might be the end of Cassandra, but she manages to save herself from the flames which logically she should not if burning is the way to kill a witch.
All I think of is the title of a song without lyrics called. "Sam in a Coma with Dark Glasses" when I watch this episode.

The are not using the arches behind the basement steps today. THe espisodes seems really washed out.
And I was right. They are using the mausoleum so the arches were unavailable for the basement set.
This is the first time I have seen inside the coffins and it is waiting for Elizabeth now Naomi. Trask appears to stop the plan and Cassandra ends up swallowed up by a huge gust of flame.

The opening scene seemed to reenacted much differently than the prior day.  Sam comes in and his dear freind smashes in his face. Sam is in a coma we are told.  Wasn't it well established that it was Adam who kidnapped Carolyn and went off the cliff and they act as if he is an unkown entity.
Willie says Adam must die taking the usual Barnabas approach to problems and Julia his good doctor agrees.

While Maggie puts on the earrings and the music plays seeming to send her into a trance, Adam lurks outside the window in an unexpected collision of storylines.  And then the payoff in in the end after Maggie returns is Adam coming in and grabbing Maggie.
Elizabeth in the middle of alll this has forgotten her distain for Willie and talks of death with him in the drawing room.
