Gerard finds a note on dead Trask. The skeleton one that is, the live one looks pretty ghastly also. The letter is from A. Trask puts things together and comes up with Angelique and Barnabas is a Vampire. Gerard overhears Julia and Barnabas talk and they suspect he is up to no good.
Back at  the Great House, Carrie learns Gerard took Ben's diary and she feels he has become harsh. Julia finds her sad in the drawing room and learns about the diary.
Trask has a gun with silver bullets and Gerard has the plans for the Old house which show a secret room behind the bookcase. Now how stupid would it be to put the secret room in the plans and how surprising that they would be in the main house.  Gerard goes with gun to Old House, pulls it on Julia and Barnabas comes in at 2 PM.  Well, sort of surprised. I had forgotten this plot point, but  on this watching I could see it heading in that direction.

Carrie enters the dream room, picks up the dress and wonders to whom it belongs. Daphne and Carrie leave and Gerard steps out of the shadows. The dream room appears to be pieces of Josette's room and does not match any of the architecture of Collinwood.
Trask and Gerard blather on about the trial and Trask wants Barnabas beheaded. Later, Gerard woos Daphne some more and says he loves her and kisses her again.
In an abrupt and thankful change, Jeremy works on Flora's books and reveals he wants to court Carrie. Flora suspects there was a vampire in 1797. Jeremy and Carrie meet at Collinwood. He wants to meet her at the brook and go away someday.
Trask and Gerard are finding Barnabas suspect and go to Old House and find Trask senior behind the wall.

At the long, long trial, Samantha reads Q's diary about Johanna. Obviously, the marriage was forced?arraigned? But Sam Hall's unfinished writing does't tell. Samantha has said she never loved him so why the venom about Johanna?
Dawson calls Daphne and she testifies to the seance. Samantha's testimony was stricken from the record as it was not about witchcraft. Samantha Accuses Daphne of being in love with Q who will soon be dead. Daphne has another Gerard dream and wakes up not remembering, but then recalls a room and find it.

Thank you. I'm looking forward to it as well, I remember liking it at the time because I had read Wuthering Heights, and recognized it right away.

Samantha comes in and says Daphne is unfit.  Then Q And Desmond talk.  Tad is looking into the fire and Samantha comes in. he is worried about Q and wants Samantha to go to court.  Then Q and Daphne talk once again about Johanna.
The trial is called to order and we learn the prosecutor resigned. We hears voices but see no people in the courtroom beyond the main actors. Charles Dawson is the new prosecutor.  Samantha is called to,the stand and testifies they have been married 16 years and he was involved in the occult all the time. She says she saw a spirit and Daphne did also.

Finally, Barnabas in jeopardy! Roxanne appears and says she will tell, but all she says is yes, yes, yes! Apparently the sight of her great love is sending her into spasms of ecstasy. Then says Angeligue. Barnabas claims Angelique was his mother. Flora is suspicious.
Valerie and Barnabas have a conversation in which he reveals what Roxane said and she says he wants Q dead.
Gerard asks Flora to come live at Collinwood and Leticia feels he is different. Rose cottage has been such a major factor in the story as foretold in the future. How can Flora leave?
Gerard is trying to snow Daphne and she tells him it's love with Q. She has another dream about being married to Gerard. Daphne almost kisses him in real life. Then she finds a letter from Johanna and her cape on the floor.

Leticia, Flora and Desmond talk about witchcraft. Flora and Carrie are at the cemetery after the funeral and someone watches Carrie. It is a young man. We learn that her father was Amos Stokes and mother Martha Bradbury and he is Jeremy Grimes, the son of the dreaded Mordaci Grimes. He wants to walk Carrie home.
Leticia finds out there was a vampire in 1797 and they never die. Jeremy wants to see Carrie again and she agrees. Leticia reads Carries Palm and it's not good.  Flora talks vampires with Barnabas and Leticia and wants a seance which conjures up the great love Roxanne.  So now there is an instant love story in the Romeo and Juliet vein, but Carrie has been a mainly missing in action character among many and does one care? She has apparently found a cross your heart bra during her time off  of maybe the one that Jane Russell used to hawk.

Mrs. Ward appears to be a briefly glimpsed pile of rags on the cell floor. Trask barges into the unlocked cell crying witchcraft.
Back at Collinwood, Daphne is upset that Gerard is Master. The show desperately needs a character which the audience can identify. It should be Daphne, but she isn't on or been in jeopardy enough to fill the role.
Lamar delivers the news of Q's latest plight to Collinwood. Gerard says he will remain in the dark shadows.
Daphne tells Desmond she suspects Gerard and he agrees. Trask overhears. Gerard has Daphne have another pointless dream she can't recall.
The Judge dismisses the charge of Randall's murder, but Q is not free because Trask has come up,with some documents that says the old Massachusetts laws were kept on witchcraft. Tribunal and death by beheading. This is so ludicrous and to top it off  Dr. Lange is the judge and his acting has not improved.

Gerard is the heir until Tad is 21. There is just so much wrong with this and so many other options. If Daniel had been under a spell, it might be plausible, but there was never any indication of that. Then there is the fact that Daniel has been portrayed as loony tunes. Q gets everything back if he is free. Gabe gets nothing as he was provided for by Daniel's wife.
Gerard wants a witchcraft charge against Q. Charles helps him plan Mrs. Wards death and she collapses in Q's cell.

Samantha comes in on Daniel and Gabe and is sent for Julia. Gabe grabs the news will. Gabe refuses to leave Daniel who says, "A life of lies" and dies. Gabe makes Samantha leave. Edith comes in accusing Gabe of the attack. He says he's master now.
Edith goes to Gerard and he wants her to follow his master. She wants to join.
Desmond starts to read the will and says, "Oh, my god".  It seems strange that Danielwould not have consulted Desmond on writing his will.

Gerard tells Valerie that Q gave Gerard the coin while Gabe fawns all over Daniel. Barnabas comes in and argues with Valerie over Q.  Another letter for Daphne and she runs to Gazebo where she ends up kissing Gerard. Barnabas pleads Q's case to Daniel and Daniel agrees to think on it. Gabe comes in and demands will.  Daniel tells him he wallows in self pity. Gabe stands up and says he's been able to,walk for years and he killed Randall Drew. Daniel clutches his heart and collapses.  There should be more of this and less Gerard. It would be so much better if this will would disappear and the previous one where Samantha is in charge is in effect.

Gerard and Gabe discuss Q. GerRd knows the heir in the new will and hints it's Gabe who falls for the ploy.
Valerie slaps Lazlo and is furious her plot failed and she is worried about Judah. She suspects Gerard as she should. She gets Lazlo to steal his watch fob.
Mrs Ward brings Q a letter and Daphne arrives and they share a romantic ? kiss through the bars. The not is from Johanna. They talk of the talk of witchcraft and kiss some more. Later Daphne dreams of Mrs Ward and Q who is to be executed. This is just awful, even if the Maine Supreme Court didn't overturn a conviction as ludicrous as witchcraft in 1840, there are higher courts.
Gerard makes Valerie see Q in the flames from the watch fob spell. This is even more ridiculous. Angelique, the queen of deception doesn't even ponder being fooled but a warlock more powerful than she.

We learn that Jim is the constable's name. Q calls in Tad and tells him he will be back. Daniel is told by Tad of Q's plight.
Charles Dawson accuses Gerard of murder and he says he did not kill Randall. This is a surprise twist.
Daniel chastises Q about his interest in the occult and collapses. He tells Gerard he must cut Q out of the will.
At the jailhouse, we learn that Mrs Ward is Mr Grimes daughter.
Back at Collinwood, Gerard and Charles plan a fake seance to conjure up Randall and fool Daniel. it works and Daniel says he must change the will.

Voiceover Virginia Vestoff.  Q. finds Randall in a no show face scene. Trask comes on them and takes Q at gunpoint to police.
Samantha walks in on Gabe who gleefully tells her about Mr Grimes. Trask comes in and tells Q killed Randall.
The constable will investigate. He talks to Gabe who pretends to protect Q, but spills the Johanna sordid saga and Q vowed to stop Randall. Constable Ward puts Q under arrest for Murder!!!  They really should have focused more on Samantha, making her like a cat on a hot tin roof.
