I wonder is the writers had instructions saying Julia will be the voice of reason, but Barnabas will completely disregard everything she says.

If Beth is the force for good and Quentin evil, then when Amy is doing evil things is she possessed by Quentin?
I was thinking the same thing about the guns, but then I thought about it and my Dad had an open gun rack in their bedroom full of loaded guns and it would have been in the living room but my Mom didn't want it cluttering up the house.  None of us children or friends had any interest in it but then, we had our own toy guns to play with.

Perhaps Amy's abilities come from
her gypsy blood and the Collins family seem to have a streak of ESP as in Carolyn,  Liz and David's
I have to say I do not like Carolyn's hair parted in the middle.  She looks so plain and it was a revelation to see her in the beginning episodes and see how attractive she was then.
It was good to see Liz back at Collinwood, but this is basically the end of her having anything much to do on the show
I kept thinking it was a good thing that Willlie has reformed his grave robbing ways since Liz's tomb and coffin were wide open.

I agree with Lydia that Chris should be now have some kind of plan.  It's as if he can't tell time and know that he has to be gone before the moon rises.  At the least he should drive out far into the remote woods of Maine or better yet go to an uninhabited island and disable his boat so the wolfman could not get away.  As concerned as he is with killing people one would think he'd be more prepared.  Although there are at least two future characters that he should have finished off particularly the male one.

Maggie's own situation with  losing her mother and then most recently Pop, I think, makes her cut the children some slack.  Maggie has lost all her backbone she had as waitress Maggie and has become unsure of herself.  It doesn't ring true to character,  but is oblivously the intent of the writers as KLS plays it that way.

Mrs. Johnson's statement about the cottage was right on. I'm surprised she didn't mention Laura but seemed to insinuate it.  The soon to be resident Chris will bring even more strange events to that place.

I love that Amy likes cemeteries.  Brings back many memories of trips to the three cemeteries located near my childhood home.  When I saw this again, after so many years, it was still spooky that they were going to play the game with Carolyn and I can't remember what they did to her so the next episode will be very exciting to watch.

naturallly Angelique sees herself as the victim.  There's no question that she loves Barnabas, but she's not yet grown up enough to know that you can't make someone love you and that they have to come to that conclusion on their own.

Current Talk '08 II / Re: Mitch Ryan as.....Jeremiah?

I always found Anthony's protrayal towards Vickie as more of a overbearing father than a suitor.  Apparently Mitch Ryan got a handle on his drinking because looking at his credits he appears to be the most prolific of the cast members in terms of work afer DS.  I think he had his best work in the first year and have to agree that his interaction with Laura was his best moments.  It's too bad that the younger man older woman storyline wasn't around on the sixies soaps because I think he had Joan Bennett would have been a good pairing.

A much better choice for the new Vickie. It is too bad they didn't find her before the last turkey.

71. Never comment on the extension phones that magically appear and disappear  in the bedrooms.
72. Never wonder why you have a phone in the great  hall and then one a few feet away in the drawing room.
73. Never notice that they all appear to be the same phone.

So now we know that Quentin isn't strong enough to leave his room and why he needs the children to do his bidding out about in the Great House.  I have a hard time with Julia's protests to Barnabas considering she has  seen and done many things that are not rational and she was witness to Victoria going into the past and returning.

Maggie could have been wearing Vickie's clothes except for the chains .  Is Roger really in England or off on some bender?  Maybe both. It is hard to imagine that they could not contact him and who is in charge of the Collins business?   What was the purpose of Liz hiring Maggie if Barnabas decides to take the children off to school and shouldn't he ask Roger before he does this?

They used to talk about how the switchboard would be flooded with calls at ABC when the fans reacted to the show.  The show was about a week ahead of taping at the time so that you can see that after the first airing of  the Betsy episodes  11/22/68  Vickie only appears in five shows  that were taped after fans got to see her in action.
