Petofi sure is souless.  A toast to Aristede's death, then he tells Charles that he could care less about the people who remain behind at Blackwood's mercy and expects Charles to help him.  What if Blackwood comes in and kills his body or Quentin's?   Why does Blackwood not disappear when he is shot?  Another inconsistency.

I believe that the answer is forthcoming .
I believe that Judith asks Tim to remove it and build the wall we see in 1969. I remember thinking that it seemed odd to go to all this trouble, but then maybe she was afraid he'd break down a wooden wall
Another bricked-up Trask.  Greg's windows are shuttered.  He is hopelessly trapped.  Quentin comes home and is infomed he is to use the Green Room and the West Wing is closed and locked forever.  She doesn't realize that in the future she will have an extremely resourceful nephew living at Collinwood.  Greg tried the phone but Gets static and when it does ring its a vengeful Judith and Greg's pleas fall on deaf ears.  "Will this room be my grave?"
Aristede is hiding in the lair and King Johnny's wife appears and becomes another no name victim to Blackwood in his pursuit of Aristede.  Apparently Magda was right that gypsy women have little value as her name is less important than she is the widow of King Johnny. Where is Magda?

The Trasks are making plans that don't include a lengthy marriage it seems.  Tim reports to Judith and reveals he killed Minerva and that Trask had been romancing a widow who expected to marry him and is now dead by her own hand.
Meanwhile Greg has given Aristede a gun and  a plot to murder Judith.  I find Tim and Judith and interesting pair. It is too bad that an older woman and younger man was still not done on the 1960's serials.  Greg's plot fails due to Blackwood and Aristede jumping to the ground floor.  Judith realizes she was getting the Minerva treatment and continues with her plan which involves Q's room being emptied.   Greg awakes and realizes he is a prisoner in Q's room and Tim is working with his present wife to make him a prisoner.  "Do you think I'm mad?"  and Tim's answer, "No."  Great exchange of lines.   I also liked Judith telling Greg she was glad he  liked Collinwood and that he would have lot's of time to meditate.

Judith reveals that she is much wiser now than in the past and is pleased to hear that Evan has hired Tim Shaw to investigate Trask.   Perhaps she should have done that in the beginning.
Aristede is being endlessly pursued by Blackwood.  Just get it over.
Greg is upset to learn that Judith plans to leave her fortune to charity and not meaning his crazy daughter.  One would think that he would be better at covering up his real feelings.
Greg now plans to have Aristede rob and murder Judith.  Now I see why they haven't dispatched him as I remember that plot point.    But Evan get's his reward from Blackwood.

Aristede  stabs Petofi with a cardboard knife and the crazed Charles informs him of his error.  The talentless Tate moans and groans some more and eventually gets his power to create life back from Petofi.  I wonder who came up with the idea of the talentless Tate who was given his ability only by his master's influence?  The Tate story could have interesting angles, but the focus on this particular one seems made for RD.   Petofi dreams of his first encounter with Aristede and has Tate draw the Master of Dartmoor, who was in pursuit of Aristede and met his death at his hands.

Beth follows in Josette's footsteps over Widows Hill.  Barnabas tells Quentin he must leave Collinwood, but he wants the portrait first.
Aristede shows up once again all dirty, like a waif out of Dicken's, at Tate's doorstep and Tate refuses to help him .  It is funny how Aristede seemed sinister and scary when I was a child, and now he seems pathetic and fearful only able to show some courage while under the protection of Petofi.  He is so desperate for Petofi that he fails to see that Quentin has regained control and goes off to do in the man he so desires to please.  This should be good.

Beth decides that Tim is her only hope?  And she is proved wrong her bring Quentin with Petofi's mind to  get her.  Considering what Tim knows about the hand and Petofi, should he not have thought it could be true?  Barnabas suggests that it is willpower that made the switch and it works.  The minds and bodies are restored in the nightmare version of "A Midsummers Night's Dream"  as two more of the the characters are fixed.  Will Pansy and Kitty follow?

Perhaps, Judith planned for dinner in the master bedroom so they could admire Amanda's portrait together.

Kitty remembers she came in 1795 and that she is Josette and has the memory of a dead woman.  She does remember about Angelique.  Kitty goes to Josette's room and Barnabas finds her.  This is a really good scene where she struggles with being Kitty or Josette and finally she accepts it and Barnabas and realizes he is human again.  It would seem that Kitty should stay herself and just add the memories of Josette, but the writers seem to make it an all or nothing proposition.  More like  a possession.
Quentin/Petofi tries to send Pansy back to the grave and fails.  She manages to tell Beth who refuses to believe. but in the end comes to her senses.

Beth pulls Quentin/Petofi back and he is not happy, but eventually realizes he needs to get the picture back.  He thinks Barnabas has it and tried to make him a vampire again and fails revealing to Barnabas that the hand has gone back to the gross glove state it must prefer.
Kitty is resisting Barnabas.  Apparently she is a single minded golddigger as Barnabas' wealth and lack of family to share that wealth have no interest to her.  He reveals that he thinks she is Josette.  How surprising a turn can that be.  Kitty goes to Petofi /Quentin for help and he makes her realize she is the reincarnation of Josette and he realizes the power of the hand belongs to him.
Now that Kitty has remembered she is Josette, she should remember everything and know about Barnabas and Angelique how she died.  A perfect opportunity for a showdown with her rival.  I really like the Lady Hampshire story.  It has a number of possibilities
Unfortunately I remember enough to know that they don't get explored and that the end of 1897 is coming sometime soon
Spellcheck has now decided that Petofi must be tofu.  Not an appettizing thought.

Quentin with Petofi's mind seems to think that his body will follow him to the future.  Beth may be guarding him for a long time and where will that be?  Will that suitcase make it through being buried underground for seventy years?  Naturally in DS world it will survive years of stormy damp weather and be none with worse.  How will he take the map with him?  Only his astral self is supposed to go to the future and should inhabit the body of Quentin clothed in 1969 fashion.  ANd there he goes to the 69 darwing room wearing 1897 clothes.

"Nothing will keep us apart." Barnabas declares and then lightening and Kitty runs off  making him realize that Kitty is an obstacle.
Much like Maggie Evans was, but in this case Kitty is Josette.  It would have been interesting if it was revealed that Kitty was the grandmother of Maggie Evans.
The plan is revealed about the two Barnabas'  This was the first time I'd ever heard about a doppelganger and it's stuck in my mind.
Tate is on again and acting idiotic.  He find the way to the future for Quentin who apparently is living at Collinwood from the way they are presenting the story.

Charity declares that Barnabas is not the vampire and Quentin grudgingly accepts the word of the lunatic he created.
Judith is revealed to be the picture purchaser.  I love her lines, " people have been underestimating me all my life," and, "I'm thinking of hanging it in the master bedroom."
Kitty comes in sensing something and Barnabas's picture glows and heartbeats are heard.  Is the  new  Barnabas controlling this?
Edward announces he is to marry Kitty and Barnabas is stunned.  Anyone who looks like Josette can't be interested in someone else! Kitty comes to Barnabas and admits she is Josette.  Who will win Kitty/Josette and will Kitty be the victim of her own real self? It would be interesting if she married Edward and then Kitty was totally gone.  What if Barnabas fell in love with Kitty?

Edward decides to help Barnabas number 2 to Quentin's displeasure.  It's interesting that Petofi's mind in Quentin's body get's pretty much overruled on what he wants to do by his siblings who have their way.  He just takes it instead of when he had his own body and would manipulate people to his will.
Amanda's picture is in the drawing room and it's clear now who had Charity make the purchase .  What a great scene as Trask tries to oust Charity and she stands up to him.  Later Edward spars with him and says that even the servants know and if they know it must be true, just adding to the misery of Trask.
Quentin sets the coffin aflame, leaving the future Barnabas with no coffin or body to be discoved by WIllie.  What a missed oppurtunity to have the vampire Barnabas  brought back and be a villan for the heroic human Barnabas to try to thwart.
Another exicting ending with the wild eyed Charity being forced to by Quentin to identify Barnabas.
