Also, here's a very grainy film clip from the 1983 Manhattan Shadows, including brief interviews with Joel Crothers and Addison Powell.

Here's a link to my archive page. I have various files associated with Dark Shadows and other topics. Among them are audio and video from various Festivals. Quality varies GREATLY. Audio of the entire panel with Joel Crothers, Addison Powell, and Jonathan Frid is there but the quality ranges from fair (in my opinion) to poor according to others. There are other performances by Jonathan a a few surprises, all available to download freely.

Of course, had Grayson's Playtex commercial been included, that would have been another matter. But clearly, the individual in charge of these releases does not care either about Grayson Hall OR her fans, so we're left to rot in obscurity and chew wet cigarette butts in the dark.
Do you know if the commercial still exists? I heard that some of the iconic ads from by gone eras were never saved. I'd also heard that some of the "Johnny Smoke" PSAs were only saved because they happened to be on kinescopes of shows that aired them. If they do exist, I wonder who they'd have to contact to get the rights. Are they in the public domain? These might be factors that have prevented them from appearing.

No there wasn't any more to it than that. I saw an opportunity for a bad pun and took it LOL.

The only warrior princess I know from the '90s is Xena: Warrior Princess, played by Lucy Lawless. Is there some connection?
I was joking. I guess it fell flat. Loosey lawless...

80
I can't say that I've led a sheltered life but I can honestly say that I had never heard of Zeena until I read the article. And I still had to go to Wikipedia to confirm that she is the daughter of Anton Lavey
I can't believe you'd never heard of her!!!! Zeena the Warrior Princess was all over the place in the 90s!!!She even had a loosey and lawless attitude towards cleavage!!

81
[pointing-up]  That is wild. And even wilder that you came across that older post, The Doctor and K9.  [easter_wink]
Well, I did a search for Julie Newmar and saw the post.

82
Heather, that second picture is too shocking!

I don't know which it is--Grayson gets called to replace Julie Newmar as Catwoman at the last minute, and meows in sensuous glee; or Grayson's screen test for the Hammer classic, Kiss of the Vampire!

Just when I think I've seen it ALL, Grayson and Heather chorus mischievously in my ear:  "Oh no you HAVEN'T, Darling!"

xo Steve
Grayson couldn't replace Julie as Catwoman, so we got the next best thing!  I would never have made a connection between these two actresses, but you did 14 years or so before Big Finish cast Julie as Dr. Hoffman!

I  checked to see if the listings were removed from Amazon and discovered that the reader has changed." Kathryn Leigh-Scott is now listed in place of the Ronny Nordlinger. Unless this is a hoax, I would expect an official announcement soon.

84
The Ross CDs are also being offered at Barnes and Noble and Books a Million.

Very interesting!

Also, until I saw her photo on the cover, I'd totally forgotten that Susan Sullivan has also worked on the Big Finish audio dramas.
Long before I realized that Susan Sullivan had a tenuous connection to DS, I was watching Falcon Crest. At first I tuned in just to see David Selby. I followed him from Flamingo Road over to the California Wine Country. I wouldn't have continued to watch either show if I was not genuinely interested in the program. Big Finish capitalized on the connection and the rapport Sullivan had with Selby on F.C. She plays a love interest for Quentin.

86
If these listings are genuine, it makes me wonder why DS actors are not doing the reading.

87
According to Amazon, the reader is Ronny Nordlinger. Apparently he's a professional reader because he's got a long list of reader credits. This makes me wonder if the offers are legitimate, especially since the listings have remained up on Amazon's system for so long.

88
No such release is planned through legitimate channels and the announcement has been deemed a fake. The Amazon listing will probably be deleted shortly.
Which raises an interesting question. Who made the original announcement in the first place?
In early 2011 I bought a book for my kindle from Amazon, To Live Again-A Dark Shadows Novel. It was supposedly the first of a series. It was unauthorized and soon made unavailable, but Amazon did not delete the file from my account or devices. I'd had a PDF made immediately in case that happened, but it didn't. I suspect these books might be a fan project someone hoped to sell on Amazon. If the offer is genuine, I hope he didn't put too much work into the project. I doubt the listing will be there in time for the first CD to be released.

Since they are including TV, they forgot The Rhode Island Demon Murders. Andy Griffith stayed at the Treadway Inn and I got to carry his luggage out. He was in a bad mood, not impressed at all with the hotel or the movie. I wanted to ask for his autograph but it did not seem like a good time for it.

More info about this disc has been announced. One of the extras is to include one of the Art Wallace "The House" broadcasts. Apparently there were two of them, one longer than the other, but I was unable to find information that specified which one.
I'm pretty sure it will be the shorter one. A half hour version was shown at one of the Festivals. I think it was in 2016.
