Cool Considerate Men was in the version showed yesterday on TCM. I recorded it to my DVR and rechecked just now, after seeing the link to the song on YouTube. It looked familiar, so I decided to scan and see if I was remembering correctly. I was. I take it that means this was the complete version or were there other cuts?

That was the cut version???? This was only my second time seeing it. It's a pretty long film as released. Still I wish they'd shown the uncut version. My wife kept saying it never seemed to end though. She wasn't as into it as I was, and the fact that I kept pointing out DSers in the cast did little to impress her.  Of course she thought I was crazy to create my Ultimate Godfather collection. I took all the deleted scenes from the Godfather Saga (TV miniseries version) and edited them back into the movie. the two films run about 7 hours now.  Then, if you still want more you can screen The Godfather III.

I live in Texas, so I can't afford to go very often. When I lived in Newport, I went every year, including the Manhattan Shadows Cons. When I first moved to Texas, I continued to go until '91. Once I got married though, I looked at what I was spending just on myself. We could drive to New Orleans or some place like that and have a whole vacation for the family. I did go in 2006 and 2008. I MIGHT be going next year if I can accumulate enough Amazon Credit card points to earn a plane ticket. It would be nice to go to the 45th anniversary.

Cult Radio has MP3 downloads of shows featuring interviews with Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, and Marie Wallace. Each show runs several hours. The DS portion is anywhere from 30-60 minutes. Each show is $2.99 and can be paid thru PayPal and other ways as well (I believe). The Marie Wallace show was alluded to in another program. It was not listed, so I asked about it. The arranged to sell it to me. Just be aware that this is not an instantaneous transaction. They are a small company. When you send your money, you need to wait for someone on the other end to read the email and manually send you a download link. I did two transactions with them. Both were sent to me within 24 hours. I found the interviews very informative and enjoyable, even though I knew much of the material presented in them.  John Karlen was on recently. That one will be repeated later this week, if I'm not mistaken. There are other items of interest in these shows as well. I loved their talk with Jason's mother from Friday the 13th.

I'm sure I can track down the scans and post them because I have them on CD somewhere.  [ghost_smiley]

I'd love to read it, if it's not too much trouble.

He's on the Ron Barry interview that was added to the rerelease of the Dark Shadows Soundtrack. Humbert was there along with a number of the rest of the cast. That's the only interview I've ever heard of him doing.

There's just over 2 hours left until the end of the auction!

Both new Big Finish DS stories are out and available for download to subscribers and those who want to buy them that way. I listened to both in one greedy gulp!!  All I can say at this point is...WOW...  This is a great time to be a DS Fan!!!

Yes, Midnite, Ms. Massie is selling it. I mentioned Mr. Rainey because he posts on here and would be the easiest person for a member of this board to contact in terms of authentication of the signature.  I have been in direct contact with Ms. Massie and am posting this information at her request.  I would also like to add that another copy is being sold on EBay, UNSIGNED for $976.98!!!! Gee..if I want this book should I bid on the signed one with proceeds going to a charity, or go with the dealer who wants almos a grand for it????

As I stated in an earlier post, I was pretty certain I heard that announcement over a Leviathan episde (you could see the altar). I'm pretty sure the clip was in BW.

An autographed copy Dark Shadows: Dreams of the Dark is being offered on EBay as a fund raiser for the Hero Initiative charity. This book is autographed by both authors. Mr. Rainey will no doubt be willing to attest that the signatures will be genuine. Here's the URL  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230488344948  The bidding is starting at $15.

There are COPIES of the Magic Slates going for $149.95 each at a BUY IT NOW price!  I won't be adding that item to my collectionn in the near future! I never say never. I swore, I'd not buy the DS Cookbook. It's connection to DS is tenuous at best, 2 pics and a few recipes named after characters. In a moment of weakness, I did throw down a bid for $22.87, figuring it would be outbid and I'd let it go unchallenged. It wasn't, and I own a copy of the book, for whaterever it's worth.  I can't imagine why anyone would want the slates that badly. Postage is $8.60 for the copy??? At that price, I'd throw in free shipping to the continental US!!

Taeylor, Mark Rainey also wrote Path of Fate. While I loved both titles, I favor Path for two reasons. First, Quentin and Angelique are two of my favorites.  Second, it feels more like an audio drama because Selby and Parker assume 2 roles. Both of their secondary characters have SFX to disguise their voices. It sounds ALMOST as if you have 4 actors reading instead of 2. If you listen closely, you can tell it's them, but you have to strain to hear the similarities. Again both were fantastic works and equally well written. I just think Path of Fate lends itself more readily to the format.
