Is the version that was shown at the Festival available anywhere?

I just saw this. I've not been on here for quite a while. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Here's a story that I can never confirm to even my own satisfaction. My mother's uncle used to drive for Cozy Cab in the 60's. Cozy was the cab company that drove Mrs. Johnson out to Collinwood. You can see the logo and part of the phone number on the cab. In the 90's Sci Fi was showing the series and I pointed out the cab to family. One of my aunts said that had to be Uncle Tony. This started a big argument. I asked if he ever told her he drove out there and appeared in Dark Shadows? She said no but he worked on "something for TV out on Ocean Drive."  That turned into "maybe it was a movie," and more arguing. What I came away with was that it could have been him. More likely it's not. He was driving at that time, but so were other people. This was the 60's and Newport was not the resort it is today, but still there were a lot of cabs on the road. More likely it was not him, but I'll never know for sure.

Here's the Cinefantastique review. As one would expect, being a genre magazine, they take the film more seriously. Thanks for increasing the file size MB!

[pointing-up]  If you tell me the file size of the PDF you'd like to post, I can adjust the forum's size limit.  [ghost_smiley]

The Cinefantastique article is 1091 KB. I have the article from Famous Monsters of Filmland 88 which is 425 KB.

Are you planning to share the Cinefantastique review? I have it, but don't want to steal your thunder as they say. Please let me know if you want me to post it.

Certainly feel free to post anything you might like, The Doctor and K9.  [ghost_smiley]  I do have several more things in line to post, but with the exception of one, I have no set plans how or when to post them. And given some of the gems you've already shared elsewhere on the forum, it's quite possible you may have something I don't have.  [ghost_wink]
Thanks MB. I tried to post a PDF of the pages, but I'm told that the file is too big. How are you posting your files?

Continuing with Angelique on the stairs shots, here's a rare version:

(Click here for a 532X700 version)

- though, oddly, the top is a bit cropped.

While I looked for more versions of Angelique on the stairs for yet another post, I discovered I do have an uncropped version of the still - but because the fully uncropped Angelique shows up in the other copies I've posted, I'm not going to bother to scan it and replace the version I posted.

And BTW, lest anyone think that there won't be any more things posted in this topic except for quotes from the slideshow, I can assure there's plenty more to come. It's just that this week I've been busy with other things and haven't had the time to prepare anything more for posting. But definitely look for things next week...
Fantastic! Thank you!

To summarize, it's a decent read. But the $10.50 price tag struck me as a bit much.

I'm not sure how it compares to other magazines in terms of price and page numbers, but it is an import. My copy only has the price in pounds. It may be more expensive because it's being shipped over from England.

[pointing-up]  You know, I also thought about giving the writer that excuse as a possibility. But then I ruled it out because the writer thought Jackson wasn't even on DS, so he/she wouldn't have had her DS character in mind when he/she wrote the blurb...
That's true, I didn't think of that.

I know absolutely that I have a magazine blurb for NoDS that identifies Kate Jackson as Kate Harrington, .....But while Kate Harrington did do soaps in the early '70s, she's something like 30 years older than Jackson. How they could be confused is beyond reasonable understanding
I wonder if the confusion had to do with Kate Jackson playing Daphne Harridge, which is at least somewhat close to Harrington.

Seth Graham-Smith's revision of John August's script for Dark Shadows can be downloaded at the link below. This version of the script is significantly different from the final shooting script.

Since the restoration of NODS is still grinding its wheels, maybe Big Finish could do an audio drama of the complete script?

I suggested this to Big Finish years ago and was told the script is "too visual."
I was also told that NODS is a separate license. If you notice, the Ross contain a copyright notice indicating Dan Curtis, while HODS lists MGM.

Given the way that things turned out, any Joan Bennett footage would have probably ended up on the cutting room floor.
You're probably right. Maybe her scenes would have been enough incentive to restore the film.
