by the way no disrespect peeps. going back on this set that i started my thread on, he he did anyone notice on the back of the back that it says the episodes are in black & white & COLOR? i think THAT"s a misprint unless they are counting the interviews with Our "Vicki Winters" other than that i think it's funny as hell. he he

I read a thread on "The Internet Movie Data Base"i think it was on? the other nite & stated that in the early episodes such as these in this set. the acting is MUCH Better than the later episodes. & ya know what? i think i have to agree with that statement as MUCH as i HATE to admit it ya know? it just always seems to me & feels to me THAT some of the casting later on during the shows run a LOT of bad choices were made in it's casting.

the woman who plays "Laura Collins" I'm sorry i cringe at her acting. in some scenes she's decent buut in others i just want to cringe., "Marie Wallace" same thing, sometimes gives a decent performance buut NOT always. "David Selby" NEVER gave a bad performance though.  [santa_thumb] anyways i'll keep THAT short i'm just curious on what people think on this subject. do people agree with me on the acting? that in the early years it is a LOT better than the later years? or is it just me? it also let me adds depends on the actor/actress & the scene.

I can well imagine. i STILL have a LOT of volumes left to buy of the dvd's.  #4-16, #23, & volumes #2-6 of the "Begining's Set. OR however ya spell it? he he  & i try & get them cheaper than $60 bucks as well. that's a bit too rich for my blood. i think i've only had to buy  like 1 or 2 of them FULL price. i know of One of them & i think that was Volume #1 of the standard set.  & the sound isn't really a bother to me. they are SOO MUCH BETTER than the VHS tapes like i  said that i taped off the 'sci-fi' channel.   i also miss the old "Sci-fi" it was I think a by far a MUCH BETTER channel than. NOT that it's crap NOW it's just NOT as good. cause they took "DS" of the air "MSKT3000" , Friday The 13th"  just to name a few. & etc... etc..etc... anyways,  i actually prefer the NEW case because for one reason i have so far the 1st three sets with the old cases & they just NEVER close right for me. it's a HUGE PAIN in the ass & they also take TOO much space on my shelf as well. soo for me i prefer the NEW Cases. & was THRILLLED when i saw they changed styles. NOW ONLY IF they'd sell the sets in MORE stores & drop the price from $60.00 to let's say $45.00    & That goes the same for "Doctor Who"  the prices are just to damn HIGH ya know? or is this just me?

it's bullshit is what it is. i prefer the standard dvd myself.  buut i think it was blue-ray my brother believes won't last long. i mean look at the playstation movies they i think stopped making them cause people realized HOW STUPID it is to buy movies for a video game system when they could buy a film to watch on your tv & on your dvd player.  well there's my 2 cents peeps. hehe

actually Brandon that's EXACTLY what i was thinking of.  those interviews are just that interviews, NOT audio commentary's. least in my eyes. there IS a difference ya know? anyways as for vol. 2 in the standard version , has EVERYONE received it? i lost the receipt & soo i am pretty much screwed in contacting MPI about it. cause i got mine like early this year i think?

IF they have to & i'm sure they WILL,buuuut IF they have to i HOPE that they  don't have it take up the WHOLE MOVIE!

honestly i'm THRILLED that the "Dallas" film isn't going to happen cause the casting THAT they had SUCKED! & last i heard it was being turned into a comedy? i was like WTF?  ya know? anyways, any NEWS on the "Dark Shadows" Film? & i agree it SHOULD be a continuation of where the show left off. & how Barnabas went back to standard time with Julia. & his search for a cure.

i FINALLY was able to buy this yesterday! at best buys. how many of you haven't got it yet? i haven't watched too much of it yet. I'm ONLY on Episode #2 & i gotta admit it feels odd to have the 1st episodes on DVD when i have the later episodes on disc. ya know? anyways one ? i thought they had audio commentary on it? or is that another set? by the actress who played Vicki Winters.

well 1stly is i LOVE Tim Burton as well, but i don't really care for "Sleepy Hollow" i have it on dvd & all cause Christopher Lee" is in it actually.  [hall2_grin]  anyways, i have a feeling this film won't get into theatres at least until (2009) or perhaps even (2010) cause of the strike. i honestly don't know who i could see being "Barnabas" today. cause since Johnathon Frid is too old. i did LOVE seeing "Ben Cross" as him back in the (1991) version. & let me add is that is what version i 1st saw back than. i think they should re-tell the story buut also don't make it a 90 minute or 100 min movie. 135 minutes or so can be the right time. have the retelling of barnanbas's story
of how he came in our time. & also maybe new stuff? i did like the 1795 idea though. buut ONLY thing that i woudln't want them to do is to leave it on a cliff-hanger cause IF  we have to wait another 2 or 3 yrs. just for the damn thing to get made i'd go nuts. & also

IF the film flopped we'd be stuck with a cliff-hanger. i mean the harry potter films really don't leave ya's on a cliff-hanger, they finish the school year & than go home. & ayuh the story isn't finished by the end of the film. buut it doesn't leave ya's with a cliff-hanger well NOT so much as let's say the "Phantasm" films do. am i right? buut ayuh "Depp" would be good. jut as long as we don't get a perfermance like we did when he did "Charlie & the Choclate Factory" that's ALL I ask. he was TERRIBLE in that. least i think so.
