I've been reading these Robervations as of late. & i quite Enjoy Her notes at the bottom on the current episode that i happen to be reading. & you guys  & gals are right though the hairstyles back than & hell even NOW are & can be funny looking on some people. it's kinda like the stylist didn't know what they were doing.

i've seen some pretty bad ones on different people as i'm sure everyone here has that makes me question what made these people get that particular style? he he. but you are right of course about poor Joan, you tend to wonder what her thoughts were behind the scenes? i would have asked for a raise if i had to have a hair style like that! wouldn't you? he he

i saw this last nite i think? that he passed away & i'm sorry to hear that. i'm so glad there's still a LOT of the cast/crew etc.. still with though.  [ghost_grin]

my Volumes came & on time for a change! when i bought "The Nightmare On Elm Street" DVD set way back in (1999) it took 3

weeks i believe to get here cause it went all over & because of it being so late & that happening i got like i think 20 bucks off

the set. anyways i'm thrilled my sets are here.  that would be  Volumes 4 & 5.

as much as i love the show, i think & will always think that they got carried away with time travel & the PT storylines as well.
now i'm not saying that no good stories came out of it. they did. 1897 is the best by far. even if i wish if  it was shorter than half a freakin year!  it's been awhile since i saw how Maggie
left. but she did go back to Wyncliff where she had been previous

for when Barnabas tried to make her his bride & than later on try to kill her.
i think near the end of the show they should
but one storyline i wish they had thought of doing is 'The Invisible man" that one they missed. they did "Wolf Man",

Frankenstein" Vampires, witches, Warlocks. i think there were a couple more they missed though i just can't think of what they are at the moment. it also would have been nice if they had talked  "Alexandra M. Isles"  to come back & let Vicki

know who her family is? even if it was just  a short storyline i could live with that. one thing i didn't like the end of is how they would have ended the show if they were able to, you know that Article that i think & believe "Sam Hall" put in Tv

Guide i believe in i think October or (1971) where Roger gets killed by our favorite Witch.  & i forget the rest of the article said at the moment. but some of it i didn't like how they would have ended it if they were given the chance. & some of it i

did like.  Barnabas Getting Cured & marrying Julia that i don't mind. but anyways, i do agree that it does feel like near the end they were starting to run out of idea's by than. even if they weren't cancelled than i don't think they would have

lasted much longer anyways, perhaps a year or two cause they had started to repeat themselves at that point. & when

shows do that it usually means they have run out of idea's. & The Quality is starting to Decline. what do you think?

i  think you correct. cause if you look at K. Lee's Scott's Book her 35th anniversery of the show.  & sorry about the spelling. that book came out in (2001)  "Dark Shadows Memories" i think it's called? sorry if it's wrong i' m just to lazy to look for it. he he. anyways, in it if ya look are pics taken by someone for the (2001) premire i believe cause i think "Louis Edmonds"

i believe are in them, i may  be mistaken but i think he went & saw it before he unfortnually passed away. now i may be wrong on him being there but please let me know.

i never did like the Jeb Character. i never did see what Carolyn saw in him. he was well a putz. i also agree with not seeing Carolynn being happy with the guy. we didn't see any of that. true she loved him. but i also think he would have died sooner or later anyways.

& although i think having PT was a stupid idea for them to do. it does make sense for them to have to do it cause of the filming of the films. honestly when it comes to certain characters i think they at the end ruined some of them. i didn't like

them turning Maggie
insane. but i am thrilled they didn't kill her.
when Joel C. left the show i didn't like how they also did

that to him as well. & Carolyn seems to have started out as a strong & good character & they to me feels like they ruined her a bit at the very end.  in short i think they made too many mistakes when it comes to certain characters.

i've read on the "IMDB" boards that people say that the show was terrible at the end of it. & honestly, i don't think it was.
although i am curious on how much time they had to finish the show when they got cancelled. there's a fan site which i

dunno if it still exists or even the name of it. that used to be around & it picks up right where the show ends in the present time. i never did get around to reading any of those. but those looks like a good read.

happy B-day Cousin & welcome to the site

1st person i thought of when i read that was Craig H. who died a few years back of Cancer i believe. but he ran his own site. & i even talked with him a bit viva e-mail. he was nice guy. but i agree it is a shame that both men passed away. it would have been pretty cool to see a DS Musuem hmm... perhaps one day? he he  [ghost_tongue2]

whatever happened To "Dark Shadows.com" ? all i know is that the dude who ran it hadn't updated it since i think (2002)
but he kept the site running for years. cause it had w FANTASTIC episode guide that had what this or that episode was about. how many episodes this or that character had or were in.

it was an EXTREMELY useful site for someone who wants to read what the next episode is about while watching the show.
now i guess it's offline & i'm Quite Saddened to see that.
