though i wasn't around when the show was 1st on. i've been a fan since (1998) i think? of the original show for "DS" well the remake that is. it had to be in (1991) i can't really remember if i watched the 2 hr. film or not, but that's how long i've been a fan. anyways,my point is i wasn't around back when it was 1st on.

so i didn't run home from school back than. & though it does affect me of course that he passed away.
i don't have no good stories like many of you do, where they watched it with loved ones who have long since passed away. for example. actually nobody in my family likes the show. i used to watch the remake with my dad so that has meaning to me. so when 'Ben Cross" one day passes away  it'll prolly affect me

even though i haven't really seen many of his work even now. but i do find it pretty amazing that 'Mr. Frid" lived to be 87 years old!  that's a good long life. and it's nice that he went back to 'DS" many years having retired from it all together. it's a bit like 'Tim Curry" with "Rocky Horror"

i'm not really a "Rocky Horror" fan but that's a guy who mostly stays away from it now. but every now & than every once in a while. he shows up at some anniversary for it. or grants a RARE interview. but again that's normally for an anniversary for it. anyways i also am glad that we get to see him on the big screen one last time. even if it is only in a cameo. & many of us here weren't around back when it was 1st on. so we didn't see the film or any of his films on the big screen back than when they 1st came out.

so it's nice he gave us that. thank you for the memories Mr. Frid.

well i hope the film is better than what the trailer well the TV spots suggest it as. which is a comedy. but than i am trying to be open minded as well. either way even if it's not as good as i hope my expecations i'm sorry are high. i can't wait to see it. & i hope it does become a franchise. because i'm hoping i'll love it.

i'm who am i kidding praying i'll love it.& if "Tim Burton" doesn't do the next one i dunno, i can't really answer that one since the film isn't out yet. & if "Johnny Depp" does do it, it prolly won't be for another couple of years anyways since he has a crapload of films in the pipeline anyways. i mean look at his filmography. but it's NOT nearly as many as say "Will Smith" he's got like 30 or 35 films in the pipeline. some of them i think he only produces. but most of them are i'm sure for him to star in. either way i don't get why these actors sign on so many roles like say "Will Smith" if they aren't going to make a film for 3 or 4 years. but

at least with "Johnny Depp" he does get to them eventually. since he doesn't rest much acting wise.
sorry for going off topic a bit here.

as for the film. as much as i can't wait to see it. weather the film is a hit or not, we really can't  be 100% that "Tim Burton" would even do another one. cause he RARELY does sequels at all. regardless if the 1st film is a hit. the only time he's really done that is with "Batman" & he had to be talked into making that one i believe.

so what's this about? i'd love it if someone can please help a guy out.

oh i was talking about "Get Real" the show that "Jessie E." was in with "Anne Hathway" sorry for the confusion. it took me a minute to remember what i was talking about. sorry for the confusion. i've heard mix reports on this film. some say it was a good film. others say it's terrible.

see i don't think the 2nd film in it's current form is that good. only cause it drags on to much. & it suffers from having SO MUCH cut out of it. in short a confusing mess. the 1st film which i'm just to lazy to type is the same way. it's a good movie. but to much was cut out as well. & for example we see we see "Thayer David" in one seen alive & than later on he's possesed or something? i forget which one that was in.

plus you can tell in the 1st film that stuff was cut. it feels like  & looks in some spots like it was badly edited.

it feels like it takes awhle before it gets good. which isn't a negative thing, than when things start to happen it feels like at a certain point it was rushed to being finished. characters dissaper & too much was in short cut out.  which is why i'm excited when "night" comes on blu-ray. if it's the long cut that we all hope to see.

i am actually excited to see it. cause maybe the film will make a LOT more sense. i just wish we were able to get that for the 1st film. but if memory serves me right, that was not to be so.

you know what i hate? how some of these cases from the various sets of various shows i own on dvd aren't really all that. i'm not talking about the content mind you. my "Nightmare On Elm Street" could have had used better cases. & from using taking these out of the box & so forth  kinda ruined the box. cause on how it was made. plus the various times of putting it on the shelf. & the other dvd's rubbing up against it.

the cases for the "Harry Potter" collection at least the dvd collection ya know the BIG ASS collection they have out? that's got like 4 or 5 discs? i forget what they are called? anyways these cases they use are crap.
you take these boxes out & it's a pain to take those out & no matter HOW hard to try to keep these things in good condition. these boxes wear out. & it looks like you aren't doing anything whatsover to keep them in any kind of good shape.  the "CSI" boxes have gotten better actually so that's a plus. so my point is,

i hope this box that MPI does i hope it's a good one. even if i don't plan on buying it. the dvd cases well the thin ones i think are pretty well made. the fatter boxes i don't think aren't. cause i get tired of having to put those together if i open it to wide. unlike with the thin boxes i don't have no problem with it.

or "The Nightmare On Elm Street" dvd set. well when it 1st came on dvd in (1999) that is. though cool looking i HATE the cases they choose. at some point i'll prolly end up buying those films on blu-ray. but i'm i guess waiting for them to do something with the releases. which is to my knowledge isn't with their current releases.

sorry for going off topic a bit. but i was also using an example. i haven't yet gotten around to buy any of the "Mary Tyler Moore" shows on dvd yet.

i would NEVER do that to any dvd. the cases may not be the best. i do HATE the fat ones, the thin ones i like though. as for MPI putting out the separate discs for us to have the correct episodes. i'd love that but the thing is, i don't think i kept any of the receipts for most of my sets. a couple of them i may have. but some i got as gifts for X-mas. & so i didn't have the receipts. plus none of them

i bought from MPI. Volume 2 i think didn't come with an insert. but i never contacted MPI cause my guess is they'd need proof that you in fact bought it. & it's been years now since i bought it. & i think i long threw that reciet out. sorry about my spelling.  as for this big set goes, it looks pretty sweet. & tempting but still

buying the show a 2nd time. & for that kind of money is just not worth it. once is enough. & if the show ever does go on blu-ray i'll prolly buy it. but i really doubt it will. so that'd be a 3rd time. buying the show once is enough for me. i didn't buy any of the VHS tapes when they were out back than. too much money. & far tooo many volumes. which is why i waited until it came to dvd.

though when i do watch it, it each time feels strange NOT to see or hear that "Worldwide Vision" or whatever that company was called logo. he he

i think it'd be stupid NOT to release it this year. i mean they are putting out an A list film that will make A LOT Of money. & it would be smart to release it either when the film comes out in May. or later this year when it hits dvd/ Blu-Ray. i still am curious if they will go on just dvd though,

it didn't say.

i've always hated that wig she was forced to wear for that character. she was & still is a good looking woman.  i think they should just have kept those in. that's one of the reasons we love the show
